After installing this display on my phone, I am completely dissatisfied with this performance. The installation was fairly easy, following step-by-step instructions from a YouTube video. However, upon powering up my phone The display colors are nowhere near as bright and crisp as the original display. Also, the touchscreen function is awful. The gross movement control is substandard with jerky movements and the fine Control is nonexistent. It is so frustrating to try to type on the keyboard that this entire review is being done via voice To text. I am not satisfied at all.

The screen temperature and color were awful and made this unusable.I am adept at working with small electronics. The installation would be simple enough with the proper tools to help pry apart the screen and the sensitive electronics inside. But the tools quality was average at best and you have to find your own tool to pry the electronics out once inside. The guitar picks simply don't do the job.The kit also lacks a new gasket to reseal the phone when reassembling. This means that the phone will lose its water resistance if exposed to moist conditions.Do not purchase if inexperienced with electronics repair.

Don’t bother with this repair kit, go to a professional and get your screen fixed. First off, there was NO Instructions in how to replace the screen. I had to look up a YouTube video and it made the repair look easier than it really was. There were WAY too many little screws that I couldn’t get off with the tools they gave me. After about 4.5 hours, I still couldn’t get the screen to snap on perfectly and even with that, I couldn’t get the damn iPhone to turn on. So I essentially broke my iPhone trying to repair the damn screen! I bought a brand new iPhone altogether! This product sucks, the connections broke off right away and there was no directions included for something this complecared and technical. Save yourself having to buy a new iPhone and get your 8S Plus screen professionally replaced.

I've broken my iPhone 8 plus screen four times now. My first replacements were from iFixit, but those were $85 each. One I broke the screen the last time, I searched Amazon to find a cheaper price. This product fit the bill.I installed it last night, using the repair guide from iFixit. The screen fits, had all of the parts, and it does work. However, the screen brightness, the color contrast, and the overall image quality is not the same as the ones I bought from iFixit.If you want something that will work, this is a great product for a great cost. But if you want to have screen quality that rivals an OEM screen, this is not the one for you.

Easy do it yourself if you feel inclined. Just don't get frustrated at the teeny tiny screws you have to deal with. Taking my time I was able to do this replacement. I also get to do a Home Button replacement since mine broke during the removal process. Screen works with no issues since replacing the broken screen.

I have replaced the screens on all of my devices and have always had success in doing so. However, after installing this screen replacement, my iPhone 8 plus worked for three days before the screen shut off. The screen replacement has not worked since. This product is a total waste of money and ruined an excellent phone that I can no longer use now. I am incredibly disappointed in this product and advice against purchasing it unless you too want to ruin a phone worth over $1,000+
