TAMIYAModels German 75mm Pak 40/L46 ATG Model Kit

Traditional Tamiya quality- never disappointed in Tamiya. Unusual and interesting offering and looks great when finished, painted and detailed. You can make a very fine piece as is or go all OCD on the detailing and end up with a museum piece. Looks really good as a towed piece or set up in the field. I have seen this artillery piece in a number of movies and I really enjoy what it can add to a diorama. Go as simple or as detailed as you like. Great for advanced modelers or for beginners especially if you have never built a piece like this before. It would be a great primer for a more complex 88mm or flak gun. Price is right too. Buy several and you have a nice gun emplacement diorama. Arrived on time and undamaged.

The media could not be loaded. I got more than I paid for. I was skeptical about buying this kit because of the low price. At best, I thought I was buying an average model kit that looks fine but will not be the best. Also, I found out that this kit was first made in 1975 so that further reinforced this notion. I was wrong. Although this kit is old, the gun itself was very well detailed. I compared the model with pictures of the real gun and found out that this kit looks very similar to the real thing! It's not easy to build because of all the small parts. I used a pair of tweezers to glue most of everything together. Once I finished and painted the model, I was very impressed about the quality and hard work Tamiya done to make this kit back in 1975. I'm sure this kit was created without modern equipment we have today such as computer software so I really appreciate this kit.Although I like the gun, I hate the three figures that came with this kit. They look too cartoon like. Their facial expressions look like mannequins you find at your local clothing store. I thought I can make them look better by doing a real good paint job but it didn't work. They still looked cartoon like so I gave up on it. I really like this kit. The gun itself is great but the figures are lacking. For this price, you can't go wrong buying it and having fun building it.

The instructions are simple to understand but putting it together has it's challenges, especially since some pieces are incredibly small ( as small as an ant's leg).Glue and tools are required.On a personal note; It was fun to build (with minimal frustrations) and the end result was satisfying. However, my fat fingers are better suited for gunpla model kits.

Great model goes together well. The instructions aren't very clear about the guns transport configuration and firing configuration but it's not very hard to figure out. The figures are decent but if you're going to build a high-quality diorama probably substitute them in with something else.

Great value for a great little gun. Typical Tamiya quality. Well fit and ready to put together.Hint: This model can be built rather quickly. Iwould advise you to take your time, and slow down. You will be rewarded with an outstanding, out of the box representation of a classic. Align the barrel to avoid over-sanding. Just take your time, you'll be glad you did.I bought 2 of them!

Some small pieces. Not a model for beginners. The figures are nicely done.

A great price for a good set piece of you are into setting up diorama type battles or just enjoy ww2 vehicles and weaponry and artillery. Great anti tank gun and great model and only a little over ten bucks might as well get it if you like ww2 models.
