I like this fixture very much. I was hesitant because the price seemed very low for what the product imagery depicted. I've had a variety of designer lighting (I'm a designer myself) over the years, and this one definitely holds it's own! For the price, you cannot beat it. However, normally when people say "for the price" it usually indicates that you're trading off a large margin of quality to save some $$$. In this case, when you HOLD the product, you can tell that it's made from light-weight materials (and saves cost where in can), but to SEE it hanging on the ceiling you'd never know that it's such a bargain! Let's face it - you're not HOLDING IT WHEN IT'S IN OPERATION!Bottom line, If you're looking for a nice-looking piece that doesn't break-the-bank, you just can't get any better.

For a basic simple fixture, this ceiling light is chic. The clean lines add to a contemporary look. It could be mounted on a slanted wall (although i did not) given the stem is hinged to accommodate that. Thankfully, it uses three standard light bulbs. A dimmer can be added as well. The size is substantial and the look is beautiful. When the light is off, the outer fabric shade appears very light grey and when the light is on it appears more white. The narrow depth of the shade makes it look much more modern. I'd use the product again and highly recommend it for any bedroom or possibly a walk-in closet to add effect.

Ordered this to replace a bad choice (design) for our bedroom.The room is about 178 sq. ft. And this fixture is just about the sole source of light as the night stand fixtures are down lights that do not illuminate anything besides the night stands.I needed a larger fixture so it wouldn't look lost in the room and also one with 3 or 4 bulbs.I'm using 60W equivalent Led bulbs in Daylight (temperature) and the whole setup is perfect on a dimmer.The condo is a small 2 bedroom in a lower priced community so having a $600 fixture would be a silly investment and not increase the property value if sold. Came with screws that were too long, making it impossible to attach as per the instruction manual. Specifically the screws that hold the canopy were too long. So I could not draw the canopy all the way up to the ceiling. Pretty terrible and now the whole lamp is useless.Update. So I painstakingly ground down the screws with my power grinder. Bungled the threads but after an hour got them to work. Hung the light and now I find that the shade is totally crooked. I tried bending it back but it keeps springing back to original crookedness. Double argh! The plate that covers the bottom also is not concentric with the inner shade, so the gap between them is wide on one side and closed on the other. This above the other things makes it look cheap. Triple argh!

This is a mediocre unit, the packaging is terrible and uses old polystyrene which gets everywhere. So you will have to clean the unit to get rid of all of the small polystyrene balls.I may return this item as the main round base, on full view is plastic not glass, so as you tighten the bottom nut it bends and deforms which produces a strange distorted reflection. Shame.

Installation was relatively easy despite the rubbish instructions. Having installed lights such as this before I just assessed the parts provided and figured it out. But for someone with no experience the instructions may prove frustrating.My real disappointment is with the quality of the construction. The fabric wrap that goes around the frame is attached/glued very poorly and peeling back in a few locations.------Edit 9/18/20Now even more disappointed than I was before. The bottom diffuser is made of plastic, not glass, and after 18 months of use with the 60W rated bulbs the diffuser has stained and cracked. J U N K.

I was looking for a contemporary pendant fixture for over our kitchen table and saw this. Duh, what I didn't do was notice it was short (much shorter than I needed). BUT? I ordered more extension rods from the seller, re-wired the fixture to accommodate the length and violá! It's exactly what I wanted. Great quality product.
