I made meticulous choices for an Alaska trip plan for next year. I already had some of the other maps. The Denali book lists birds, animals & plants, recommended trails & highlights going into the park! Chugach NF map near Anchorage where I have a 9-day stay walking region will be useful. The Moon guide to Anchorage small enough to pack with me. I rounded out collection of identification plates, Nat'l Geographic guide to Alaska NPs as real keepers in my library-I wont have to buy, carry books on plane home!

As an Alaska resident, this book was the perfect guide for a long weekend trip through Denali State Park. It’s insights and tips for several trails and things to see were great for planning the trip of a lifetime.

well written book. besides practical visitor information includes historical and geological basis as well as description of local animals and their behaviour. i enjoyed reading it.

Lots of history etc. we wished there were more pictures and useful info like where to stay, where to eat, what to do. Not many pictures either. We bought books on Yosemite and yellow stone and they were much more nicer and helpful when we went to those parks

I've been to Denali myself every summer the last 11 years and I related to the author, but more importantly, I learned new things from this book. It's very applicable for first-time our repeat visitors.

Because it was a gift, I only got to glance through it, looked great,My son who lives in Alaska loved it.

There is a lot of information and the book is very readable. useful for anyone spending time in the park- particularly if you will be going into one of the camps in the park itself.

Haven't read the book but going to Alaska with friends and on the Denali National Park so this looks like a good read and another present sorted.
