The aesthetic movement of the second hand becomes the symbol to the consumer of Bulova Precisionist and signals a watch with accuracy so exceptional, you can see it. The technology is accurate to 10 seconds per year as compared to most other quartz watches, which are accurate to fifteen seconds per month. Summary of Features• Precisionist Movement• Stainless Steel case and strap• Multiple-layer black and carbon fiber • Luminous hour and second hand• Calendar Window• Water Resistance to 300 metersAbout Bulova In 1875, Joseph Bulova, a 23-year-old immigrant from Bohemia, set up shop in New York City and a legendary American watch brand was born. Since that time, Bulova has stood proudly in the vanguard of timekeeping innovation, committed to the legacy of creativity and excellence established by its founder.A pioneering force in the industry, Bulova transformed how watches were worn and how time was perceived, registering over 50 patents as he and his company built a record of creativity including the first full lines of men’s and ladies’ wristwatches (1919 and 1924). To ensure the utmost in precision, in 1920, Bulova even established its own observatory – located atop its New York skyscraper. With the same spirit of innovation, following World War II, determined “to serve those who served us,” Bulova established The Bulova School of Watchmaking, using new and unique methods to train disabled veterans for positions in the watch and jewelry industry. Then, in 1960, Bulova changed timekeeping forever with the revolutionary Accutron, the world’s first fully electronic watch. An integral component of U.S. space technology, Accutron timing was used on 46 NASA missions, including Apollo XI, the first lunar landing (1969).Today, this dedication to creativity continues, with Bulova the only brand to offer three distinct timekeeping technologies – quartz, mechanical and Precisionist. One of the world’s most recognized brands, Bulova continues to maintain its position at the forefront of the timekeeping industry, upholding an extraordinary heritage of achievement in design, style and technology as it expands to meet the needs of a diverse global audience.

Precisionist just rocks.
This is my first review ever.. Got this is in Feb 2015 and i love it. It's light weight and the whole thing looks amazing. Carbon fiber and the black steel look great in person. Especially in the sunlight. I picked it up on here for about $280 back then.. and now i look and it's $495.. yikes.. (as of Nov 27) and I hope it goes on sale again even more again. I set it to the Atomic clock and it has kept it's time perfectly along with it even down to the second. It did come with a minor scrape on the glass.. but it's so small it isn't even noticeable to someone who doesn't know. My friends and family always say how great it looks. It really is worth the money. You can't go wrong with a watch that promises to be accurate within (+/-) 10 seconds a year. That is epic. I have to say honestly I'd buy it at Any price because it's discontinued and apparently this is the "last one" they have. It's hard to find and I'd totally recommend it. It looks better to me than most of the Newer models from Bulova. The specs say the case diameter is 46mm and I thought it'd be perfect for my wrist. It is perfect.. i also own a watch that is 56mm.. Yea.. it's huge and almost looks Too big.. But i figured Anything below 56mm will look good. Winter time is here.. and i have to say.. It gets freezing cold against your skin outside unless it's covered up under sleeves. It got that way in the summer too when my AC was on in my car blowing on my arm while driving. Everything about this watch is great. Bulova is a great brand and They've always made great things. Hope this helps persuade someone into getting it. You can't go wrong.

Big Watch
it's a big, beefy watch. not flashy like my Citizen Eco, but it has its own presence on my arm.

Looks great in person!
As always, I went to the mall to try on the watch and get a look at it before ordering on Amazon. It's around 50% cheaper online vs the mall mark up. I just got it today and had it sized to fit. Took two links out and it's perfect. It's my 5th Bulova. I'm becoming very brand loyal, but also own a couple Seiko's and Citizen's. I think Bulova puts out a better product in the $200-$400 range though. The clasp is the type that folds over once. Not the ones that come together equally. Not my preference, but not a big issue. The carbon fiber in the band and face give it an expensive, deeper look. The sweeping second hand is what keeps my buying the Precisionist line. There were three in this Champlain collection that I really liked, but landed on this because I don't have a black on black watch. I'll definitely be wearing this one daily for a while until the "new watch" feel wears off and then it'll go back into a normal rotation. I work in banking and feel this watch is good with a suit or casual with a polo / t-shirt. Next one I'm looking for is a straight sporty orange watch.

I really like this one. Update: it's new OLD stock...
Update: I guess I know why I cannot find this model on Bulova's site now. The date code on the watch I received is B2, which means this watch was manufactured in 2012. So I got a High Frequency Quartz watch that is almost a decade old with no heads up in the listing. It's gaining about 1 second every 4 days. That's a LOT out of spec and bad for quartz in general. I still like the watch in general but... Man. These things don't age well which is something I knew but I didn't expect to get one already past it's prime. The watch was running when I opened it though which is certainly a quandary. There is no way the original battery would have lasted 9 years and yet, the crown was screwed down. This means someone must have replaced the battery at some point. All very odd.I wanted a high frequency quartz analog watch something fierce. I liked the Precisionist Chronograph but man, that thing was just a little to far on the Invicta-Massive-D-Bag end of the scale. The basic Precisionist was too plain. Then I found this one and it seems just about perfect although I do wish it was just a TINY it smaller (it does wear smaller than the specs at least). So, let me jump right into size first. I have a 7.125" wrist which puts me a tiny bit below "average" for humans. Don't let the 45mm case size fool you, this is a large watch and it has to be to hold the large battery needed for the movement. I have one other watch this big from some microbrand and I have to say, this Bulova wears much smaller. The lugs are large but tapered well and the segmented carbon fiber chrome lined aspect breaks up the eye well making it much harder to notice that yes, the bracelet does indeed fall off pretty sharp on my meager wrists. I will put up a photo. The height is a non-issue.Yes, it has a screw down crown and quickset for the date complication. Yes, it does seem to be highly accurate so far, even for a quartz. The bracelet does have the wetsuit expansion clasp and has three slots for micro adjustment. The bezel is uni-directional with 60 clicks. The bracelet is solid and quite substantial with carbon fiber inserts on the 1st 3 links of each side. It is on the heavy side but not past the solid feeling on your wrist. The one glaring downside that probably isn't a big deal to most people? The Lume is garbage. It is applied precisely and looks amazing for the 10 seconds that it is bright after direct sunlight but well, you know the kind: Weak.So anyhow, as of writing this, I cannot find this model on Boluva's website so not sure if it is discontinued or what. The price I got it for here on Amazon (little over three hundred) was the lowest at the time I wanted to buy and very reasonable in my opinion.I don't know that I would recommend it for a wrist much smaller than my own unless you are comfortable with that look. OTherwise, it is a wonderful timepiece. You get the accuracy and durability of a quartz with an even smoother seconds hand sweep than a mechanical.

Awesome watch
The watch was a little larger than I was expecting, but not too big even with my 7" wrist. Watch has really good weight to it. I really love the sweeping second hand which makes it look like an automatic, but with the accuracy of a quartz. This was the 7th watch I purchased for my small collection, and I find I really don't want to wear the others any more. This watch looks fantastic, is very accurate and comfortable. I'm just hoping that the black ion plating doesn't start rubbing off from the stainless steel, but only time will tell. If you like the picture of the watch, you will love it when you see it.

Looks great, but a dud after 1 battery replacement.
Loved this watch until I got the battery replaced. Now it won't work at all, and my watch guy told me I had to pay to send it back to Bulova for them to fix it. And surprise, surprise, it's JUST out of warranty.
