CACAGOO Outdoor Security Camera,1536P 4MP Wifi CCTV Camera,with Night Vision,Two Way Audio,Motion Detection,Outdoor camera Compatible with IOS/Android

I've had this camera for quite a while and still can't quite comprehend how good it is for such little cost! It's simple to install and requires a small power cable (3mm thick) to be connected through a window or wall. It produces an INCREDIBLY clear picture both day and night. Motion detection is great during the day with the ability to highlight a focal area for movement. During the night the camera uses infra red to see in the dark. The quality of the picture is fantastic however the motion detection, even at it's most minimal setting, picks up small insects that fly through the shot and triggers the motion alarm. This means I'm getting notifications for motion detection every 20 minutes or so on average - Thus becoming rather annoying, and thus being muted.But despite that one, small, insignificant issue - It's an incredible camera that not only provides a deterrent, but a quality HD picture all day and all night.

I've been running web cams for home CCTV for a few years now... and over the past year have seen massive improvements in terms of picture quality and SD card to capture (although I use synology for years and not had issues either). Installed for my in-law and the picture quality and field of vision is great... but there are some bugs that need to be resolved or answered.For example static IP .. it doesn't let from the AI View app to change from DHCP to a fixed IP .. it does allow you to change the IP and save but doesn't remember - similar if you wanted to change the port from 80 .. Port 80 never great idea if you run / host multiple web apps as default port. Also I've not seen anyway to manage - archive / delete the SD card footage... I can only see Format card.. I'm not entirely sure what happens when the card becomes full? Maybe its in the manual somewhere??I've raised support email regarding the static IP .. see if they manage to fix in future firmware update.The AI View app is good - it doesn't care on the IP and can be checked remotely but if want to use 3rd party app to view then it does need a fixed local IP - then can use port forward rule on router and see remotely .. it should be able to do this.

While the picture quality is good its definitely not 4mp good its 2mp at the most, sound quality is really bad you cant hear anything, the speaker is whisper quiet, the app linked to control it is terrible (AI View), bought an sd card to go in it and it doesnt record to it, it recognises it, formats it but will not record to it the only thing you can do is live view that is all, motion sensor is way to sensitive a fly will set it off so im constantly getting alerts every 5 to 10 minute, wifi strength is not good

The instructions I received to add the camera to the AI View app are totally wrong! The camera creates its own WIFI network this begins ‘HSIPC-‘ which you need to join, this has a security code of ‘12345678’ then launch the app and provide the details for your own WIFI network that you want the camera to join. I think the image quality of this camera is excellent I have a number of similar 2MP cameras and it is a marked improvement over them. It does however appear very zoomed out compared to my other cameras but I think this is because of the higher resolution. The night vision is excellent and lights up the area well. The camera has been recording 24/7 for 4 days and used 43% of my 64gb SD card. You can look at motion detect alerts in a list then click to watch. Or you can choose a date which gives a scroll bar for the day that you can drag to the time you want to watch, it would be good if the alerts showed on the timeline (it does with other camera apps). Things I don’t like about the app, you can’t pinch to zoom on playback only on live view. The app playback does lag and then jump forward looks a bit like a time lapse! If you want to download a recording the app records in the same way that it plays back so you end up with a disrupted download! Amazing value for money considering the low price when compared to others. Fingers crossed it lasts I’ve only had it up for 4 days!

Brought this as it said high resolution but doesn’t seem to be, compared to a 1080 camera the image is not as good, at a distance of 8 meters a number plate is not readable. The night vision dose not work correct. The night LEDs do not turn off as per the app and only dims which means I get the light reflecting in the window and makes this unusable for me.On the pro side the WiFi works well, the motion notifications work a little to well as on the lowest setting you still get notifications

I had been looking for an efficient security camera for a while. This product meets all my desire. It is easy to set up. We set it up in our living room at first and have got quick notifications every time our cats passing by the camera! Now we leave it to watch our garden. Will definitely buy one more for our front door.

All good, colour night vision would be better, buy 5mp is clearer that 1080(2mp)UPDATE may 2020,brought 2 of these and both have stopped working showing recordings through SIM cards worse still no response from cacagoo to sort the problem out so down to one star we go till cakagoo respond to this problem

I have very old version cctv system for outdoor before, but there is no night version, or motion sensors, I like this one it is compact size and high resolution picture very clear, the most important is it has night version with motion sensor, very useful, picture quality so clear, fantastic product, defo recommended
