this rug came beautiful and a beautiful off white color. it has turned to an ugly yellow color in just two months. of course after the allotted return period. very disappointed. the whole theme of my room is white on white. now i have a major ugly pale yellow rug that will have to be replaced. you can see the back of the rug was the way it came. mind you this is only 2 mos. after purchase. the small white dots you can see were where the chair legs were. i moved them around and you can see the color it was only weeks ago. It is not out in the sun. it is in an enclosed room but there is no AC so i guess temperature changes the color. Do NOT buy! It also sheds like crazy and the loops are coming apart.

We recently bought this rug for our bedroom. We were expecting it to be a little rough but it’s actually really soft! It’s a little darker than the manufacturer’s picture but it’s beautiful!

I am happy with this purchase. It has a bit of a different weave and texture for a jute rug which was appealing compared to most other options. I do also agree that it is softer as a result of the texture. Downside there is it has a higher weave which makes it a little tough for crumbs and other debris to get stuck and wedged into it and the vacuum is not always smooth to run over it.A was a little disappointed in the ‘bleach’ color and hoped it would be whiter and lighter. It definitely has more of a natural golden tone, and I thought it would not work out. Once we laid it out it looked okay but I do wish it was slightly lighter.Overall a good buy and good price for a 9x12 rug.

I’ve had this rug for a year now and it still sheds like crazy. I was hoping it would stop after a few months but it’s gotten worse. White fibers everywhere in the house and all over everyone’s clothes. It’s absolutely awful. Throwing it away today. What a waste of over $400! Please don’t buy this. I wish I would have listened to the reviews.

Very happy with the rug. It’s nice quality. I don’t like ordering rugs online because I can’t feel the quality. It goes well in our Florida condo. The texture is nice and so much softer than a juke rug.Only concern would be if you have dogs that may run across it or rough house on it, their nails could snag the loops in the rug.UPDATE: I’ve had the rug for 6-8 months now. It’s looks great. The dog’s nails didn’t snag the loops but IT’s SHEDDDING! It’s not like the shedding wool rugs do. Much worse. The fibers stick to the bottom of bare feet and it tracks thru our house and leaves fibers all over our hard floors. Very disappointed. I absolutley ove how it looks but the shedding can’t be overlooked. My rating went from 5 star to 3 star.

while I am a fan of this company, I was very disappointed by the quality of this rug. First, it never stopped shutting. Second, the portion of the carpet that was in the sun began to turn yellow. Third, many of the rings began to loosen and come out. one a stain did fall on the rug. It was almost impossible to come out. It looked nice from far away and that was about it. Also, a helpful hand, this carpet is not really meant for a dining room as it is very difficult to move chairs. Maybe this would have done better in a family room/living room type of area.

We have other Safavieh rugs we are very happy with but this rug is a nightmare. It will not stop shedding. We have had it for 6 months and vacuum 2-3 times a week and it fills the canister each time. Wearing dark clothing near the rug is impossible. It’s very inconvenient when guests are over and they think pet hair is on them and mention that our pets must shed a lot but we hand them the lint roller and have to explain it’s the rug…It does look nice—but that’s about it. Our young kids play on it and it’s all over them. Pokes through clothes and makes everyone itchy. We’re going to have to replace it because we are concerned for their health. Sharp twigs were also coming out of the rug and stabbing their feet. Also many loops came undone the first month we had the rug. This is my first review and I made the mistake thinking the other negative reviews were exaggerated. I assumed it would be like a wool rug that stops shedding eventually but it is not the case. The other negative reviews are legit.I think it would work as a runner or entry rug ok. Caution to people purchasing for a living room with kids and guests coming over.We also contacted Safavieh but they said they can’t help.

I bought this rug May 2022 and it’s now Jan 2023 and my rug has completely yellowed. I get a lot of sun shining through a sky light and sliding glass doors that absolutely yellowed the rug. I have a natural colored rug from Ikea that’s never turned, so I was expecting this to keep up the same since it’s like $300 more! It’s soft, it shed a bit for the first 2 months or so, and it does well with resisting foot traffic and food stains, but I believe it has yellowed to a point of no return. You can see what it USED to look like because my sliding glass door mat covered that small rectangular bit, but you can see what is looks like now! Unbelievable!!
