if Olivia ever needed a kidney, I would consider it
Obviously I'd have to see if we were a match, but I would do whatever I could to make sure that this woman continues writing with such a plum. These comics will make you laugh right out of your mouth and then you will stop and think, "whoosh! that's so clever" because Olivia is very intelligent not like people who go to Arizona State University. I hope one day to meet Olivia and I will also wear a disguise so neither one of us knows who is who. Great BOOK!

Great read
With humor in a similar vein to other classics like Calvin and Hobbes and Dennis the Menace, Nancy is a return to the original Ernic Bushmiller's style and sense of comedy. And that is fantastic, cause it's really, really funny.

Nancy Is LIT.
This is way funnier than it has any right to be. A perfect update, true to the conniving ways of Bushmiller's genius character. My daughter (9) and son (10, now an ardent Sluggo fan; after all, "Sluggo is lit") both love it. I would love to see the right voice do the same, especially, for the Sagendorf take on Popeye.

Can't wait for Volume 2!
Thank gawds for Olivia Jaimes! She saved "Nancy," brought in a cast of great new characters, and made Aunt Fritzi a smart but harried person I always love to see! This book collects a whole lot of laughs, and some really cool extras. I can't wait for volume 2!

Nancy is back...
Are you a long time comic reader? You know, the ones we used to call “the funnies”? One of my favorites was “Nancy”; that strange little girl, whose hair ended in small spikes. Her best friend was Sluggo. Both seemed to be orphans; Nancy lived with her aunt, Fritzi”, and Sluggo’s family/living situation seemed to be in flux. He lived on the streets, as far as I can tell.“Nancy” has been published in the newspaper for about 100 years. Nancy and her crew seemed to change very little over the years. Nancy and Fritzi Ritz had a somewhat fraught relationship; she seemed to be surprised by her little niece, or whatever their relationship was. The strip did get a bit monotonous after a few years. Then, the syndicate interviewed for a new artist and they hired Olivia Jaimes. She took over the strip a couple of years ago, to much acclaim and Nancy, Sluggo, Aunt Fritzi - joined by some new friends and teachers - returned to their public. They come back fully integrated into 2018 society, complete with “screens” and robots.Olivia Jaimes has published a couple of books featuring modern strips. This one, “Nancy: A Comic Collection”, is a nice collection and contains some articles about Olivia Jaimes and the history of the strip. I really like the way Jaimes draws her characters. Sluggo has the sweetest face, even when he’s upset. Fritzi still looks like she’s a sexy creature from the 1940s and like she know how to have a good time with some lucky guy. But Nancy looks like a clever little girl who knows her way around screens...and people. Cute book.

All this great ones you see on twitter
Nancy comics starting popping up on my Twitter feed sometime last year and I've really enjoyed them whenever I see them. And this book is a lot of those all together. It's great! Love what the new writer has been doing with the character and now I can support them and share around a physical version.

Surprisingly sophisticated
I got this for my 9 year old, but content is geared more towards adults in terms of subtle humor (nothing inappropriate). That being said, my 9 year old likes it also! Drawings and the whole book are physically attractive; makes a nice present.
