Good quality, easy to use, app is good
It works really well. It's built heavy-duty. The app is great for controlling it, and the instructions are clear. It's much better than the mechanical T101R I had!!!

Doesn't work - tried 2 units and cannot even get wifi to connect...
***update 8/8/2020***After struggling to get 2 different units working, I purchased a GE unit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YTCZZF0/) and swapped it in place of the Dewinwils unit. No change to the wiring at all. As soon as the GE unit kicked on I was immediately able to connect it to my SmartThings hub, and had instant control over the device. The GE unit is considerably more money, but let me tell you this - it worked right out of the box, no fuss. The Dewinwils unit doesn't look ready for prime time.To be fair, they finally did reach out to me by email, but the entire troubleshooting regimen they prescribed I had already done exhaustively myself. I weighed out the benefits too - even if through exhaustive troubleshooting they were able to make it work, how often would I have to mess with it in the future to keep it running. No thanks guys. Please work on the out-of-the-box experience, so many people in the reviews here complain of having to vigorously troubleshoot to get and keep their units running, that isn't going to fly - especially for a device to enable automation! We want this stuff to work every time!I'm usually very patient when it comes to electrical wiring projects like this, but this one has me ready to give up. I ordered this item to power my pool pump, which is a Hayward 1 horsepower 120 volt pump. By all means this unit checks all the boxes I'm looking for in a pool timer, I just cannot get it to work. The wiring for this thing is simple enough, and I don't think there is anything wrong with my wiring connections. As soon as I apply power to the device, the Wi-Fi light starts flashing and I attempt to connect my cell phone to it to begin setup. As soon as I establish the initial connection the Wi-Fi light goes out, and my phone drops the connection immediately. Afterwards the Wi-Fi light will come on and stay on solid, and then it will begin flashing and then it will go out and it keeps doing this over and over and over again. I cannot maintain a connection to this device for more than a second or two, so I can never complete the setup. The manual power button will work to turn the pump on only when the Wi-Fi light begins flashing. Within seconds the Wi-Fi light turns off, the pump will run for about 5 Seconds and then shuts off. I can turn the pump on with the manual power button anytime the Wi-Fi light is flashing, but when the Wi-Fi light is solid or when the Wi-Fi light is off the manual power button does nothing.I'm frustrated and cannot seem to figure this thing out at all. I emailed support but they haven't responded to me in days. I want this thing to work, but I am losing hope. If I can't figure it out in a day or two I'm putting it back in the box and sending it back.

A good pool timer
We got this timer for our in ground outdoor pool. The pump timer works well and was a great price. We’ve been using it all season with absolutely no issues. My husband was able to install himself without issue.

Well-made WiFi timer/controller for 120V or 240V devices but mobile app is terrible
I replaced our 22-year-old mechanical pool pump timer with this unit. This now allows me to remotely turn the pool pump off and on as well as design special pump/filter schedules that better fit our needs. It is leaps and bounds more functional and easier to control than our old mechanical timer.Installation was straight forward with no surprises. The instructions are clearly written, as are the wiring diagrams. (If you've never wired anything using 240V in the US, be sure to read up on the subject first. Keep in mind that there is no "neurtral" wire for 240V systems. Instead, there are two 120V wires, each alternating the current opposite of each other (hence 240V alternating current). The heavy-duty metal weatherproof box the unit is mounted in is adequate and seals nicely to keep out rain. It has four knock-out areas for connecting outdoor-rated conduit. The electrical connectors are a bit small but functional. They are will-protected behind clear plastic insulator covers. On top of that, there is a plastic wiring cover that conceals all the wires. The metal door has a nice weatherproof gasket.I had no problems connecting to my home's mesh WiFi system using the app. Speaking of the app, it is poorly written and buggy. I had to restart it during the installation process to make it work correctly. Unlike the written instructions for installing the unit, the menus and help files are not grammatically correct in many cases. The entire app feels like it is version 1.0. It needs a complete re-write from the ground up by someone who knows how to write attractive and effective apps that are easy for the lay person to use. Fortunately, I'm tech-savvy and have installed numerous WiFi clients in the past, so I understood the process in this case. Otherwise, it would have been difficult and I can understand why others may have had problems getting this to connect to their WiFi network. (As always, be sure to have a good WiFi system in your home that is up to date.)Once installed and connected to WiFi, the switch itself worked like a charm. Hitting the power button in the app instantly turns the pump on or off. I created several timer programs for the pool pump that have it turning off and on a few times each day. So far it is working as expected, even through the company's "cloud" system (while I'm not at home directly connected to my local network).I have not been successful in connecting it to Amazon Alexa so far. The instructions in the app are not correct and are obviously for an older version of the Alexa app. But having Alexa connected to this switch is not a huge feature for me.In summary, I believe this is a well-made WiFi heavy-duty outdoor switch at a good price (nearly half the price of a competitor's product that comes in a cheap plastic outdoor box). As long as it stays reliable, I will be very happy with this device and may purchase another one to control a water heater located in my workshop.

Great product, what are you waiting for?
Received and installed in about an hour. I replaced our mechanical timer. Install is very simple but it really needs a second mounting hole as the only mount is a single hanging hook that isn't very sturdy. Fortunately the box is thin metal so if you have a drill ...One oddity is the wifi on Android. Like most products without a display the Eco box broadcasts its own, custom wifi and you join it from your phone to program the device. When you're done, it has WiFi connected to your house. But, if you always have WiFi on your phone when you're home then the Eco app reverts to looking for the device through it's custom wifi instead of through the internet. Just turn off your phones wifi and it will access the Eco though cellular data. A little odd and I'm hoping they'll update the app eventually. On the other hand I just use Google Home and Alexa to access it and created routines instead of their app so no big deal.Wifi signal is pretty good though brick and two walls. Oh, I do wish that I could use the power monitoring feature. Maybe that'll be added for 240v folks someday - I know $160 GE model has it so it's possible.I'm very happy with the purchase and wish I'd bought it sooner.
