Better than an aquarium pump
4 hours from home and the water pump dies. What do you do? I fashioned an aquarium pump to my Prius to keep the juices flowing but as soon as I got this part in the mail, it was a simple 30 minute swap. Works perfectly and has been now for months! Will buy again if needed. I’m extremely rough on my cars.

Pump doesn't work
I bought the pump, installed it and got the same error code again, now I have to buy another one and pay for labor again

Saved me $130! Exactly as expected.
Switched my 2nd gen Prius’ old inverter pump with this today. My town’s Toyota dealer gave me a P0A93 code diagnosis for $90 and they charge $180 for this same part (not to mention another $350 for labor). Taking out the headlight is easy enough; I took forever to get all the plastic covers on the bottom out of the way so I could drain the coolant, but I’m no mechanic. I also couldn’t raise my car at all which would have made it a 20-minute job. Just be sure to get the right coolant because apparently Priuses are very selective about it!

Works.
I bought this because the dealer was out of stock and so was local part stores. It has been installed in my 2008 prius for about a month and works just like it is supposed to hopefully it last for a while.

lasted for one year
bought and installed this July 2, 2019, was driving along happily until yesterday (June 2, 2020) when the warning lights came on (P0A93). the pump is failing again. after parking the car for a while and letting it cool down, the pump began working again, but failed again with freeway driving. I should probably get a factory pump for $130. I have a feeling most of these sellers on Amazon are all buying their products from the same Chinese factory or manufacturer, and the quality is not consistent ... sometimes you get a good one, but the defect rate is high because quality control is lax.
