Great product, my gums are healing great, sort of noisy
So... this Waterpik is amazing. By the way this is my first review ever on Amazon after ordering numerous of things. So I had 4mm and 5mm periodontal pockets from not flossing and also experienced some bone loss, I also had to get a very uncomfortable deep gum pocket cleaning. I literally hated flossing and would find myself avoiding to floss even though I needed it very much. My gums were red, swollen, and inflamed because I was in the early stages of periodontal disease. I started using the Waterpik flosser, and instantly like this way of flossing much better! After using it consecutively each night for only 5 days my gums were noticeably better and felt much better. After 2 weeks of using the Waterpik flossing, coconut oil pulling, and mouthwash treatment, my gums have done a complete 180 and my mouth and gums are starting to heal properly! Also this flosser can be somewhat loud, but definitely gets the job done ( but the dentist still recommends string flossing). Brought this with my own money and this is an honest testimonial/review. I will be back with an update on what mm my gum pockets will be!

Wow! Should Have Bought This Years Ago!
Fifty-odd years ago when I was a kid, my parents bought WaterPiks for me and my two brothers. Over the years mine got lost during moves for school and work and, frankly, I'd forgotten about it. A couple years ago, I started having problems with sore/bleeding gums and--no matter how often I brushed--my mouth always felt like the bottom of a birdcage. Then, I remembered my childhood WaterPik. Just in time for one of Amazon's sales!I ordered the Aquarius model, and have used it twice-daily for a week. Guess what? No more bleeding gums! And after every use, my mouth feels like it was cleaned by a dental hygienist. Love, love, love this thing, and it's super easy to use! After reading numerous reviews here, I have to say that it makes a low, vibrating noise when in use but it's not loud (I have hyper-sensitive hearing and can't bear loud noises). If your unit gets moldy, it's because you didn't take 30 seconds to empty the tank and drain the line after each use. Try adding a couple ounces of mouthwash into the water tank when you use it and--just like you can your coffee maker--once in a while run some white vinegar thru the tank followed by two tanks of clear water. It's not rocket science. Those who reported it "leaking" from the bottom of the cleaning tip probably just didn't have it seated correctly. It has to snap into place on the wand, but if you aren't paying attention and press the "release" button on the wand instead of the "on" button to start the water flowing then, yeah, it'll leak from the bottom. Just snap it back into place and give your Therapy Llama a break.Water going everywhere? Don't turn it on until the cleaning tip is in your mouth, and then keep your mouth closed around it like you're supposed to.Seriously folks, I used one of these when I was seven years old and didn't have any of these problems.Buy one. You'll love it. I'll never be without a WaterPik again!

Squirted out dirty, black particles
I may have gotten a defective one but it kept spurting black water out. I put it together properly (not rocket science), put in clean water and ran it s instructed before putting it in my mouth. As I was about to turn off the test drive and use it , it squirted out black water! It kept doing that every few seconds throughout the cycle. I tried to run water through it a few times but nothing worked.Update - after reading many reviews I think the unit was filled with MOLD! I cannot believe they sold me a unit like this. It obviously was not new. Disgusting and dangerous

Great unit + Waterpik honored the warranty too!!
I love to Waterpik! Purchased in November 2017, after an older Waterpik wore out after about 9 years of almost daily use. Unfortunately, the motor on this one stopped working a few weeks ago for some reason and I was very reluctant/hesitant to bother with a warranty claim, as it always seems like a hassle. So I started shopping other brands. I also decided to take a chance and reach out to Waterpik to see what their warranty experience was like. To my pleasant surprise, Waterpik was gracious, and after answering a few simple questions, they agreed to send a replacement unit! Nice!! Made my day!! Thank you, Waterpik!!

Performance has changed.
I have purchased waterpik ADA machines for about 10 years now. They need replacing about every 2-3 years or so.I have found the quality of the device r/t longevity of the device has drastically decreased. I purchased one just a year or so ago. Then motor quit. Purchased the present one this past July and it leaks constantly into the seat of the resevoir and out the bottom of the device onto and down the counter. And it hesitates to power on frequently. Please advise?I would request a return and refund but like I typed, I bought it just this July and have put up with the failings, but no more. Thank you.

NOT QUIETER OR (noticeably) SMALLER THAN THE WATERPIK ULTRA, but still a good product! (see PHOTOS and VIDEO)
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I like it, but it's really NOT that different from the Waterpik Ultra that I bought several years ago. It's SUPPOSEDLY QUIETER and with a smaller footprint, but that's not really true. I tested this one against the Ultra, and found really NO difference in the amount of noise between the two! Size-wise, really no noticeable difference in terms of the counter space it takes up. I DO like the fact that the pause button on the handpiece is no longer a push button but now a slider, because the old push button became useless after a while, getting stuck and then no longer useful! So, in summary, NOT noticeably SMALLER and NOT really QUIETER, but still a good product.I also bought the Waterpik WP-560 Cordless Advanced Water Flosser and like that a lot for travel. It's definitely quieter than the Waterpik Traveler (which is about half the size of the regular Waterpik but much louder - like a jackhammer!), so that I don't have to feel bad if I'm getting ready for bed late and there are other people already sleeping (whether in the same hotel room or if I'm staying in a house with extended family)! The only downside is that the water chamber is so small that I generally have to refill it 4-5 times in order to do come close to what I do with my full-size Waterpik.

Works great, but is not a full replacement for manual flossing
Overall, this works great, especially if you just want to do a quick clean after a meal or popcorn...it really blasts a bunch of crud out quickly. A couple of key points:1. I noticed, and confirmed with my dentist (after I bought it) that it should not be used instead of manual flossing, but in conjunction with it. That said, I don;t floss as often as I should, and I find this does help. If you don't floss at all, this is definitely better than nothing and will help. It is powerful, so I don't need to go past 8 /10 so it should work for most people.2. The environmentalist in me (even though I drive a F150 truck), liked that the internal package was cardboard...not a spec of styrofoam to be found.3. Noise: it is a bit loud, but not as bad for me as others have stated...it is slightly louder than my soniccare.... maybe those complain don'trealize you don't have to lift and hold the main machine right to your ear :).4. It does take a bit of practice to get your aim right, and to figure out how to let the water 'drool' out of your mouth elegantly at the same time, otherwise water shoots everywhere...but after about 5 times, you figure it out.Overall, I think it is great for someone who knows they should floss, but only flosses 1-2 times per week (except for the 2 weeks leading up to the dentist appointment, then twice per day (cause they can tell if you only do it for a week leading up to the appointment!) OR for those who don't floss at all.

Great water floss with variety of replacement tips.
Bought this on sale during Christmas time and can't be happier with the purchase. It's got really good design and very easy to setup and use. It comes with a variety of different tips that are color coded so my wife and I can both use it without worrying about accidentally use each other's tip. You can adjust the power of the water stream to fit your need and it can get really powerful. I usually set it to level 6-8 and my teeth feel very clean everytime I use it. The tank will last me 2 flossing sessions and it's very easy to be removed from the unit to refill and clean. We are very happy with this purchase and it's an absolute steal at $60.

Recomendado

Waterpik Aquarius water flosser ORCHID Also other very nice colour options available
The item arrived well packaged and promptly. I liked that they had several colour selections. I've never used a water flosser so there was the learning curve but no issues with the product size etc.It asks about travel and I rated low as I believe it is meant to sit on counter in home or base address. It is small and compact enough to travel with but I believe that waterpik has smaller models better suited for this purpose.Excellence product and price 5 stars and this is after using the product for a bit of time

Easy to use, feels good, but is noisy
This waterpik is ready to set up and use. It comes with several different heads/piks which is nice because several people can use it - just remember which colour is yours and switch it out. It's very loud when it's on, so it's not something you can use when everyone else is sleeping. My hygienist recommends using it first, then flossing, then brushing. It feels nice to use but in terms of my teeth I didn't notice a big difference but I already had really good oral health. It takes up a bit of counter space, but if you can get it on sale, I'd say it's worth it.
