Nikkor look alike)
Bought this product as a gift for my Nikon-fan photographer friend. I ordered cheaper version before I ordered that one, but it came in damaged. So, I decided to invest a little more money and buy Newly Improved I AM MUG. The item came in a perfect condition. All the features look so realistic that my friend thought I gave him a real NIkkor lens ( which was not my intention, actually). The mug is well made and has a push button on a top to open up a hole for drinking. Basically, it holds the liquids warm longer, since you can actually control the water release (the mug I had before, had an open hole release) and close the mug when you not drinking. The mug has nice rubber grip to it and comfortable to hold. It also comfortably fits in standard vehicle cup-holder. You can unscrew the bottom cover of the lens (that part that you attach to the camera) and it is hollow inside. I did not figure out the practical use of this feature other than making it look realistic. From the other hand, you can hide a pack of sweetener inside. The inside of a cup is stainless and which is safe for hot liquids.Over all it is was a great buy.

Get ready, instant conversation piece.
The stares alone are worth the price! This is actually a good mug. It does not leak, has a great sipper/seal design, and keeps coffee at brew temp for a fair amount of time. I have had several coworkers ask, "Why are walking around with a lens?" "Do you know that looks just like a lens?!!" And yes in true photog fashion I keep it in the bottle holder on my camera bag which I carry everyday. This is perfect for any photographer.

Big, Sturdy, Realistic Mug!!
Love this mug! I was looking for a larger size than most I've seen, and this works out perfectly for a larger cup of coffee! The only thing I don't like is the push down button in the middle goes into the cup a good couple of inches and doesn't let you have a truly full container, as if you have a full cup, you cannot put the cap on as it will overflow. I did this the first time using it, and since then I've refrained from putting the cap on until I drink it down enough to put cap on. Next time they should do a simple toggle that opens, as it will allow the maximum amount of coffee then in the cup instead of minus a few ounces, hence why I'm only giving it 4 stars right now. Otherwise, it completely looks like my Nikon Lenses!!! Bottom is sturdy and keeps drink super hot, and was a great buy. My coworker who has a similar, but smaller one, says mine looks way better than his, which I thought was the best compliment about it! Definitely a great buy!

Perfect gift
Can’t speak for use but the quality is very good, has a thermal interior that I would assume works since it seals tight and it makes a great gift idea for anyone who loves photography. 5*

Perfect Gift for the coffee drinking camera bug!
Very realistic! And the stainless steel chamber with a rubber seal on the screw-on top are impressive! I’m glad I chose this Amazon-recommended mug among the many different camera lens type mugs available on-line.After purchase follow-up from the vendor and their on-line customer support service was much appreciated!

Very realistic but needs better lid design.
It looks amazingly real almost to the point I have to be aware not to leave it laying around unattended. Plastic exterior is ok, but feels like it could easily crack if dropped. Does a good job keeping beverages hot with metal liner. But biggest knock would be the lid sealing mechanism could have been designed better. You push a spring activated button on top which moves a plastic disc (attached to a thin custom rubber seal) up and down. Unfortunately, the seal does not keep it water tight. Liquid easily seeps into area between rubber and plastic and remains there. I worry if I drink something with milk it would end up stuck in that void and spoiling.Overall a very cool little gift–for the Nikon user (finally); but for $$$ the lid could be designed much better. I would suggest something MUCH simpler with less moving parts to possibly break and easy to clean.A nice little touch included, though, is the lens bag you can carry it in (when not using it for drinking). Although, honestly, I would probably be very disappointed receiving a cup after believing I originally thought I was given a new lens.
