THE YOUTH want to be suited and booted and spit out contagious rock’n’roll. They want to play songs that anyone can under-stand, a beat that everyone can fall in love with and a groove that everyone can feel. The Youth want to bring sixties sounds back into teenage bedrooms – where it belongs. The Youth formed a couple of years ago in Copenhagen when four friends decided to combine their shared passion for blues, garage-rock, rhythm’n’blues and beat music. They have already made a name for them-selves in their native Denmark, attracting a Beatles-style mob of screaming girls whenever they appear live. Recorded at the es-teemed Estudios Circo Perrotti in Gijón, Spain.

punchy, R& B garage-punk beat pop
Debut album from band out of Copenhagen, Denmark: The Youth play with a punchy, R& B garage-punk beat feel that tosses in some soul/blues riffs and a ton of raw, immediate hooks—pushing the melodies into the land of starry-eyed 60s garage/pop addicts. This is how you might imagine The Beatles sounding at Liverpool’s Cavern Club in the early 60s, with a bit of pre-fame Kinks & Rolling Stones thrown in.
