Love this book for my 3.5 year old
I love this book because it switched things up a little from a normal hidden pictures book. I bought this for my 3.5 year old and it definitely challenges him, so I'm happy about that. There are 9 Chapters.Chapter 1: Family Fun,2: Perfect Pets,3: Fun with Friends,4: School Time,5: In the Neighborhood,6: On Vacation,7: Let's Eat,8: The Great Outdoors,9: Indoor Adventures, then Appendix A: Now Where Did I See That...?Appendix B: Resources,Then Puzzle Answers. The first page of every chapter is the traditional hidden picture image. The spot the difference pics. What doesn't belong type pages,My favorite are the pages where they make the child really think and use problem solving skills. For example, they show a picture of a room with no people in the picture and ask how many people like in the family including pets. So, around the room is a ballon attached to a crip that says happy first birthday, then there's a walker with a sign that says "Grams" with a ballon attached to it that says happy 85th birthday. there's a mug that says #1 dad, a card that says "to mom" then there are two pets bowls "spot" and "fluffy" with obvious dog and cat toys around the picture and there's also a note of the table that says feed goldy and a drawing of a fish on the wall with the name goldy above it. Now, this may seem very obvious for me, but for a 3-year-old, he needs to comprehend these concepts and be able to read words such as 'Mom', Yes, there's a walker and a cane in the room to know an elderly person lives there, but a 3-year-old has to be able to pick that up. So, I love the pages like this and hope he learns a lot from them. There's also pictures with hidden words in it. And lots of other different versions of picture find pages. I recommend this book for kids especially 3-5 years old. I'm very happy I bought this for him to go with his Easter basket

Great kids activity book
I bought this for my six year old son who has shown a love for hidden pictures and "I Spy" games. This book is something he'll pick up and do some puzzles and then not pick it up again for a week or so. It will come in handy for a 2 hour drive we have coming up though! An earlier review had mentioned that all of the pictures are in only two colors, but that didn't seem to phase my son. Some puzzles have easy to read instructions too, which helps with his reading. I highly recommend this book!

Present for my grandson.
My grandson is very detailed oriented and I thought he would love this book because he loves another similar book. I saw him open during his birthday party and put it down and came over to me right away and told me in my ear, "Grandma, I love the books better than my toys." I felt his sincerity...until he got his bicycle lol. But that's a no brainer....book? bike? Duh! Bike! I already purchased the Everything Kids Maze book.

Good size, good activities
Pretty good seek and find activities, not a ton of things my preschooler can do unsupervised but still worth the price.

The interior pages are NOT colorful... see attached pictures.
I am returning because I was dissapointed in the contents of this book. The pictures of the cover imply the interior of the book will be colorful and fun for kids, but sadly none of the interior pages are colorful. If you're not expecting a colorful inside then the content would probably be an OK hidden pictures book.

Great exercise for little brains
Most youngsters love puzzles, but this book offers more than just brain work, it is perfect for rainy days, long trips in the car, or just spending time alone without the drone of television. The puzzles are challenging for ages 5 and up, some more difficult than others, and my kids enjoy the way the items are really well hidden in each scene. I love that it is lengthy and features various themes like Vacation, Meal Time, Playground, and so on. This edition will keep us busy throughout the entire summer vacation.

wonderful entertainment
one of several car trip entertainment aids. this one is especially good since you can do it without marking the pages so it can be used by several people with no annoyance that somebody else did your "favorite" thing before you had a chance to. very entertaining to all the ages including mom.

It's not quite what I was hoping it would be ...
It's not quite what I was hoping it would be. You have to read it to figure out what you need to find. I was hoping to give it my younger kids who can't read well yet. But, I'd have to sit with them the whole time.

poor quality pages
I was very disappointed with the poor quality paper used in this book. Lovely clear, bright cover but inside it is cheap greyish paper with thick-ish lined drawings. This makes the drawings quite confusing. Surely that's the point you say...? but no, it means my children are not in the slightest bit attracted to the page and have no interest in finding the hidden shapes. I can't even be bothered to have a go myself.Nicer paper, a bit of colour in the drawings maybe and some sharper, more attractive pictures would make all the difference. Something more along the quality lines of Usbourne books, in fact I think I'll see if they do one...
