Way past easy.
Too easy to fit the applications. Base is made of a high-density foam and covered with Kerdi membrane. Easy to cut with a razor knife to fit. Perfect slope made install a no-brainer. I installed Ditra mat underneath for added support and de-coupling from the sub floor base. Has a slightly steeper slope surrounding the drain, so I used a 4" square Schluters "Curves" drain and 2x2 square tiles. Worked out great! Kit comes with a 2" PVC drain Kerdi wall wrap and all the appropriate Kerdi corner seals. Added a floating bench in the corner, so had to buy additional neo-corner seals. Had to purchase some additional Kerdi wall membrane as I have two stub walls to seal inside and out as well. Needed a couple extra feet. Coupled it with a 12x24 Schluters double shower niche. The provided Kerdi banding sealed everything up just nicely. I used Schluters All Set for everything. The kerdi membrane as well as the tiles. Just mixed at different consistencies. Used Schluters quarter-round satin nickel edge trim to finish all the edges.Only suggestion I have would be to focus on laying in the membrane, the seams, and corners. Making sure they are laid in and bonded in tight. Makes tiling easier later on.Install was a snap. May be a little pricier than conventionally laying in a mud base, buying all the parts separate, but the savings in labor and quality of the completed project make it well worth it.Zero leaks, and absolutely zero regrets.IF....I do have to do another custom tile shower, it will be with a Schluters shower kit. For sure. Worth every penny.

Worth every penny
This is my second shower using the Schluter Kerdi system. The first one is about 2 years old and performing perfectly. Both are installed on a plywood subfloor (waterproofed with two coats of RedGard), which is over a crawlspace. The reason we did the first shower with Kerdi is that there was no way the joists and subfloor could possible have tolerated the massive weight of a conventional mortar bed shower.Everything you need except the drain and the thinset ane tools is in this box. If you have tall walls, or an otherwise larger than normal shower, you might need some additional Kerdi membrane and/or Kerdi-Band. Do your planning and calculations carefully. Allow 5% or so for waste. Make sure to purchase enough. There are several excellent videos by Schluter and others online. Watch them all. Make certain every step of the entire process makes perfect sense to you before you begin. Get the proper thinset. Get the proper tools. I bought the Schluter trowel. I'm glad I did. Take your time and follow the instructions exactly. If there is one thing that Germans are best at, it's probably writing instructions.Once you get the entire Kerdi system done, you'll be ready for your tile job. Ours came out great. This system allowed us to install a custom tile shower in two bathrooms where all the "experts" told us our only option was to install one of those fiberglass tub/shower combo units. And guess what? None of these "expert" contractors ever heard of Kerdi or even Schluter. How you like them apples?

Cheaper here than anywhere else
I still have the band and corners to throw in but the Kerdi Kit went up well, and am impressed with the drain setup on the pre-sloped pan. I was easily ableTo cut the pan to fit what I needed, and the curb easily set as well. Only time will tell but this was an awesome alternative to some other ways of accomplishing waterproofing and shower pan.

Makes installation a breeze
Really loving these products! Just remodeled my entire shower stall and this made the flooring and walls super easy to water proof and prep for tiling. Definitely more expensive than other options, but the time savings is worth it in my opinion!

Tiny Home Shower
Purchased the Schluter kit after seeing at Lowe's and doing research. Amazon beat Lowe's price by almost $200. Will be installing this week and will leave another review after the installation of the kit and tiles! The best system for a waterproof shower tiled walls and shower floor.

Worth the cost to save time
My package came all banged up, patched up and wet, but the product inside comes in smaller packages so they were protected from damage. It comes with a shower pan split in 2, 2 shower curb blocks, 1 roll of Kerdi fabric (108sqft) one drain flange and 1 roll of narrow fabric to seal joints. You need to buy the drain grate separately. I used this system to redo my master bath shower 6 years ago and so far I had no problems. Now I have to redo my basement shower due to mold in the mortar shower pan (old school method of building shower pans are not water tight). The water proof membrane is a little tricky to install if you have never worked with thin set before, otherwise it should be no problem. Use 2 big drywall mud knives, one to hold the fabric and the other to “press/squeegee” the fabric to the wall. Watch the video to help guide you. Make sure there are no lumps or bulky areas on the surface on which you are applying the membrane so your tiles will be set flat and evenly. You can cut the shower pan to fit your space if necessary. This product is just more expensive than anyone would like but it will save me time on building a water tight shower correctly.
