FANTASTIC for deep-frying
FANTASTIC for deep-frying. I absolutely LOVE this strainer. I bought it because I like to make my own croutons (just bread, cut up, deep-fried in olive oil, spiced with garlic powder, onion powder, and parmesan cheese... SOOooo much better than any other croutons I've tried... though definitely not low-calorie)... anyway... I was previously using a couple large slotted spoons to fish out the croutons when done frying, but this works MUCH better! It is solidly built, looks like it's ALL stainless steel, nice long handle so I don't have to get my hands quite as close to the hot oil, and nice large 'basket' for catching lots of croutons at once, and drains very quickly and much better than the slotted spoons I was using before. The wires are between 1/8th and 1/4th inch apart - close enough so nothing falls though, and far enough so it drains really, really well. (I THINK it would NOT work for something like quinoa - some of the grains would fall through, but most pastas should work fine)

Great Strainer and Reasonably Priced
We love this strainer. When I made the purchase, I wasn’t expecting much due to the price. However, the sturdiness, functionally and durability is more than I expected. It has become our number one strainer.

Excellent as kitty litter scoop
I bought this to use as a cat litter scoop, as I'm injured and can't easily bend to scoop the litter box. It is also lightweight but sturdy and gets the clumps of litter well. I'm very happy with this purchase as it makes my life easier, and I recommend it for anyone who has trouble bending down or squatting to clean litter boxes.

Great strainer, I used making fries in grease and also when I made General Tso’s chicken and orange chicken. Much better than the old plastic one I was using.

What you see is what you get
I just received this strainer and it's exactly what I need. It's perfect for pulling fries or shrimp from a cauldron of oil, or vegetables out of water. It has a wide face with just enough depth to hold most anything, at least a cup's worth. The stainless finish(for now at least) is flawless too. For the price, it seems a nice value.
