High quality power supply.
I bought this unit to replace an old 30 amp 12 volt power supply in an RV. The old power supply had very high ac ripple even with a battery connected. This DLS 30 has very low ac ripple even with NO storage battery connected. The float charge voltage measured 13.54 volts at the battery. The 13.54 volt float charge level will not 'fry' batteries like so many of the cheap power supply/chargers tend to do when connected to the battery for extended periods. Never had the cooling fan turn on so far. The supply runs cool. Purity of the output was much higher than I was expecting. This supply should be O.K. for 12v TV's, CB radios, 12v audio systems, etc. The unit's output terminations are nice big screw lugs that can accommodate multiple large wires easily with no danger of shorts. My old power supply had a constant low level audible hum. This supply is dead quiet. The supply comes with a short dongle that plugs into a modular phone jack on the side of the supply. When the dongle is plugged in, the output of the supply goes to 14.2 volts to equalize the battery cells. If you buy the smart charger option this is the place it would plug in instead of the dongle. I bought the smart charger option but elected not to use it. I decided I'd prefer to have a constant 13.6 volt nominal output rather than have the supply occasionally automatically switching up to 14.2 volts. When equalization is desired, sensitive equipment can be disconnected and then the dongle can be plugged in to manually bring the charging voltage up to 14.2 volts. (Just have to remember to remove the dongle after equalization!) As other reviewers mentioned, no output wiring is included with the supply. You'll have to make up your own alligator clip leads or whatever. For replacement use in an RV, remove the old unit and connect the existing RV wiring to this new supply. Just make sure to keep the polarity correct. UPDATE: It's 2023 and the DLS30 is still working fine. For the last 2 years, the unit has been running 24/7. July 2, 2024: PS is still running 24/7 in a mostly unoccupied trailer with no ac in the Nevada desert heat. Amazing! I imagine the capacitors will need to be replaced at some point because the caps are frying in the heat. ( I need the PS running to power my 12 volt outdoor security lighting.)

Worked great for 4 yr stopped working the other day
I bought this from Amazon as a used model I think maybe it could have been warranty work or possibly a return it was professionally repackaged with all literature,,, it was wicked easy to set up I had an old pair of jumper cables lying around I cut a little out of that and used it for my cables,,, I crimped pins on the end to insert into the unit itself and then I simply put alligator clamps on the other end that way I can clamp it to battery bank,,,,or another bank quite easily,,,I used the little plug for bulk charging,,,as we've have alot of over cast,,,,rain,,,etc. didn't take long to top off my bank,,,I went ahead and mounted on the wall,,,my only concern is that when I bulk charge with plug inserted into the back that I don't overcharge my bank,,, others here have said there's a light on this for charging and when fully charged,,, I'll have to turn all the lights off in the house and see if I can see it I didn't notice anything like that,,,would this unit turn it's self off when bulk charging like that with the little plug inserted on the back?,,,,or will I have to keep an eye on it.I waited till it was at 14.1 volts and kept it pluged in for about 20 min. or so then unplugged it.don't know if I did this right or not and I have not tried regular charging w/o plug in back inserted,,,I thinking regular charging would be auto.?????if anyone knows more then I do please feel free to tell me all about it ..................::::::regards:::::::::::Bill R..............

Worked Great
Unfortunately wasn’t what I needed in the end, but was easy to figure out and use out of the box. Was quiet when it was running and was fairly priced.

Multi use power supply and 3 stage battery charger
I use this to charge a GlassMat lead acid battery. It is a power supply with a “plug in” adapter to change it for lead acid battery 3 stage charger applications. It works as advertised. The 4 star rating was because it requires an adapter to do the battery charger function. They supply the adapter with the power supply, so it is not a big drawback. The power supply was exactly as it was represented to be.

Purchased this unit back in July of 2015 for use ...
Purchased this unit back in July of 2015 for use in a ham radio shack. It's powering several low current DC devices plus an ICOM-7000 transceiver that requires 20A continuous. I have it feeding Blue Sea Systems ST blade fuse block. Quite frankly, I have it mounted out-of-sight behind the desk, and I never hear the fan or a peep out of it. It's been cranking 24/7 for the past two years and absolutely no issues. Its giving me solid, ripple-free DC at 13.4 volts and no RF noise.

Nice replacement.
This power converter is very easy to install. Once I installed it, it has been working well.

6 months!!!!! Not happy!!!
Only lasted 6 months. I wouldn't buy another one but had to have power in the RV. Before anyone asks the RV has new battery, power cords, etc. It still only lasted 6 months. This new one better do a better job!
