If you’re even looking, JUST GET IT!
If you’ve been to Jamaica and had their famous national dish Ackee and salt fish, if you’re like me, you got back home and you were craving it. I splurged on the can. I think I got on sale for 14 but you’ll probably end up paying $20 for it. But it’s definitely worth it. It brings back your Jamaican trip. Google a favorite recipe like I did and make it just like they say.It’s really good. And don’t worry if you don’t have salt fish. You can use cod or some other ingredient like I used home caught bass. Crappie is also good. . And it’s really good. You can alter the seasonings to your taste. But I love the Ackee as it gives an almost like firm scrambled egg taste. It’s so good and this brand is awesome and not mushy.

This brand is great ! The pegs are formed and not broken / mashed up as the other brands out there .. highly recommend! It’s expensive, but worth a nice ackee n’ salt fish dinner for two 💕

Good taste, but the ackee arrived too broken up and mushy
I bought this pack of ackee because I like the flavor, and the taste itself was very good. Unfortunately, when I opened the cans, a lot of the ackee was broken apart and much softer than I expected.Instead of having nice whole pieces, it looked like it had deteriorated and become too mushy during shipping or storage. Because of the texture and how broken up it was, I ended up returning it.The flavor was good, but the condition of the ackee needs to be better.

There’s no Ackee in these cans! Just Mush!
If I could give these a zero star I would. I bought these previously and it was great. This time I purchased four cans because of the previous purchase! These were so mushy there was Zero Ackee in the can to cook. I uploaded pictures the moment I opened the cans and contacted customer service to return the remaining cans and get a refund! Only to be told this item is not eligible for return or refund! Never buying again! I’ll try other brands! May actually have Ackee in them!

I miss the ackee back in Jamaica and whenever I can’t get it at Walmart this is my go to purchase and it always delivers fast. Love me some ackee with saltfish iykyk.
