It's worth the investment - the tan you get is flawless!!!
I literally can not say enough how much this self tanning oil rocks... It is the most beautifully natural looking self tanners I have ever used, and trust me, I have been through the gamut of them all... It is very easy to apply and it gives your skin the most radiant bronzed glow that is second to none. The results truly mimic that of natural sun tanning - or tanning in a tanning bed, minus the scare of getting skin cancer from the harmful UV rays that it takes to tan your skin... It might not last as long as some of the other self tanners that are on the market - but in my opinion, that's a good thing. For me, I get about a solid two, maybe three days after application before it starts coming off, and when it does start coming off, it's very easy to get the rest of it off from exfoliating. **FRIENDLY TIP** I can't emphasize enough how crucial it is to thoroughly exfoliate your entire body before applying ANY self tanner. It is so important that it will actually make or break the results you get in the end. This St. Tropez Luxe Dry Tanning Oil is truly outstanding stuff - I fully recommend the investment, it is worth it!

Broke out in hives
I WANT to love this. It gave a nice pretty glow, no streaks and easy to apply. Also faded nicely. But...it made me break out in hives. I’ve used many different kinds of self tanners over the years, my skin isn’t really sensitive. I’ve never had this issue before. *sniffle*

the scent is amazing! Reminds me of fruit loops lol
Bit of a tanning veteran here, I had to try this just because. First of all... the scent is amazing! Reminds me of fruit loops lol, and even afterwards it never has that terrible fake tan smell. The tan itself... pretty light, but natural looking. So if that's what you're going for this is perfect. There's a light color guard with a bit of sparkle to it to help you apply. The consistency is a bit watery, I did have some trouble with it and gravity. Best applied with a mitt. I think the thing that really stands out about this one though is how great it is for dry skin. My skin actually felt more moisturized then it did before application. Because of that, I found the tan to be longer lasting than standard. Hope this was helpful.

Best Self-Tanner
So I'll start this review by saying I have VERY fair skin and I have tried all the self tanners that are sold at CVS, Target, etc. The smell of the oil is definitely better than regular self tanners. But eventually after about an hour, that smell fades and the typical self-tanner scent kicks in. But it's still not as bad as other ones I've used. The best part about this product is the way the tan fades. It doesn't look blotchy or spotty when it fades like other self tanners typically do. It fades like a natural tan. I would recommend this to others with fair skin, primarily for people with pink/red undertones. The only thing I was expecting (based on other reviews) was a huge amount of sparkle when I used the oil but I didn't hardly see any. This didn't bother me too much as I would rather be tan than sparkle.

Good quantity of product but too light and smells bad.
The main positives with this product are the quantity and the color of the guide. Even though the tanner is admittedly expensive, one bottle lasts quite awhile. I have well over half a bottle left and have tanned my entire body five times. Also, the guide leaves a beautiful golden tan that doesn’t stain, so you can immediately wear it out and about. The main reason I won’t be repurchasing is that the color is too light for me and the smell. If you like a light tan, you may enjoy this product. It doesn’t streak or fade patchy, it’s just too light. Also, the smell is downright metallic and of DHA. Right out of the bottle. Literally every other tanner I’ve used (and I’ve tried so many) has a better smell, including cheaper brands like Jergens, St. Moritz, even Banana Boat.

Great product with time to correct for error. Thumbs up!
This worked great! Way better than the Self Tan Bronzing Mousse which dried almost too fast. This oil was the way to go. It soaked into the skin and didn't dry too fast leaving enough time for us to correct where needed. I applied this to my wife whom has fair colored skin. She doesn't tan well, just gets red or sunburned. We have been trying products out every spring and this is the best yet. Went on like a very light oil moisturizer rather than greasy oil or lotion. Left skin soft and smooth. I would recommend a tanning mitt or clean sock that you can throw away after, on a gloved hand ... this method gave me the most even application. Oh yeah, it seemed to look darker the morning after I applied so go lighter and add more the next day if you want it darker. My go to from now on. A clear winner!

Faux glow
My favorite self tanner, by far! This oil is so moisturizing that I don't have to apply lotion on days that I use this. It dries fairly quickly, although I recommend not getting wet for at least 8 hours, longer if you can. The glove is a MUST. Seriously, St. Tropez should just give a dang glove with each bottle. (It's that important, I think most negative reviews are from people without the glove.) And I love the fact that it is buildable. Overall - as long as you prep your skin correctly, allow enough time to dry and develop, and use the magic glove- this product is fabulous.

Does not work, even on the palest skin
I am EXTREMELY pale and have been self-tanning religiously for about eight years now. Recently, I have been only using St. Tropez products, switching back and forth between their dark mousse and self tan express mousse. I read about this product on a self-tan review site and was really excited to try it, so I ordered it from here. Waste of money. I still have no color after three applications. Guys I’m seriously so pale that even the slightest color would show up, but no, absolutely nothing from this product. Also, applying this product is exhausting, time consuming and messy. I’m not sure where all of the positive comments are coming from. Also not sure if this is even the real product from St. Tropez. Also an important thing to mention is the smell is absolutely horrible and I felt sticky until I washed it off 6 hours after applying it. Please do not waste your money on this.

Eccelente

Self tan graduale e illuminante
Consigliatissimo

Love this product!
I have tried a few St Tropez self tan products and so far, this is my favourite. It does not streak, easy to apply and lasts for a good week. It is a deep golden colour and looks very natural - not yellowish like some others. I apply it ever Friday night, wake up, have a shower and it looks great. It does have the biscuit smell when u first apply it/overnight but obviously washes off in shower - leaving the colour. Worth the money.
