Leupold Lens Pen 48807

I bought this item in 2018 to keep my Leupold Optics clean. It works great and keeps my optics clean. I recommend this to anyone who has Leupold Optics and wants to keep their optics in tip-top shape.

This is an interesting item. It seems to work fine and it will be great to put in a range bag for use away from home. Generally I use a clean soft cloth and eyeglass cleaner to clean my scopes. I'm still curious about how long the lens pen will last. There is no clue about that on the packaging. It uses a dry cleaning compound and by screwing the cap back on, it puts more cleaning material on the pen. It can't last forever... but I have no idea how long it WILL last! Normal Leupold quality (great) and on the package it says it has the Leupold golden ring warranty, which is for life. I like it and I think I'll find it useful in the field. I'd recommend trying it. In fact, I bought two - one for my shooting buddy to put in his range bag.

I bought this to have a simple and handy way to clean the lens of my Eotech on my rifle. After over a week of hard use my, optic was looking pretty shabby. Sweat splatter, dust, etc all over the lens. I had heard you should be cautious about what you use to clean an Eotech lens so I found this. I trust Leopold and my trust proved warranted. This product does an incredible job and is super handy. After the success with the first one I order two more to keep elsewhere.

After reading previous reviews, I was a hesitant on using this lens pen. I will say that I am not disappointed and it has worked very well for most of my needs. I did test this pen on my skin, and it did leave a black residue as another person noted in a review, however this residue doesn't appear on optics when cleaning. It cleans very well, and works for it's intended purpose. The only complaint I have with this product is that you can't clean the inside of a trijicon RMR red dot, but to be honest this isn't the intended purpose, and I have yet to find a lens pen that will accommodate this. Overall, this is a quality product that I would purchase again.

This product has worked very well in the field. I ride my UTV while out scouting and it gets very dusty on the trails. This Lens Pen gets all of the dust and dirt off the lenses of my binos very easily. I like that is is compact and fits in a pocket very well with the attached clip. The top is retractable and so the brush is never out in the elements and the bottom is covered by the cap so both ends are protected. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a fast cleaning of their lenses on the go.

I have a red dot on my pistol and my AR. The pistol one gets smudged from racking the slide, firing, etc. Contacted the manufacturer about how to clean it. They recommended a "non-chemical" lens cleaner. So tried distilled water super good microfiber cloth. Could clean the middle, but edges still had some smears. Decided to buy this. Thought it can't be as easy as they say. But it is. Simply wipe off any loose dust from the lens using the included brush, then a circular pattern using the cleaning tip and it's clean! Could even get all the edges and both sides of open reflex lens. Cleaned my AR one too. Both now look like they came out of the box. If you own a red dot, you want this!

I’ve been using these for years, in some pretty expensive optics. They work great!The reviewer that stated it left a black smudge on his hand (customer submitted picture)...that’s the dry cleaning compound. It’s supposed to do that.. The reviewer that stated it dries out in a month...it’s a dry compound. It’s not supposed to be wet. These are great for in the field cleaning, and are a must in any range bag.

These lens pens are a great way to maintain optic cleanliness. The brush is handy but the squeegee wipe is near essential. For the couple ounces this weighs and the space it takes up in a pack, it is more than worth carrying. This is an excellent product at a competitive price.
