SonyLinear PCM Digital Voice Recorder ICD-SX733

This little Sony is a great personal recorder. It's very compact and lightweight. The controls are simple and intuitive. The battery recharges via USB, and it holds a charge very well. The sound quality on playback is very good. The built-in microphone does a very good job, even if the recorder is in a shirt or coat pocket. With the addition of a plug-in lapel microphone, the sound is nearly perfect.I've found this recorder to be ideal for practicing presentations. It's also great for recording meetings, speeches, etc.For me, it's a great combination of features, usability, quality, and price. I recommend it most highly.

Amazing recording quality. Neat feature that the USB slides right out of the case for connection to computer (but a cable is also included). A lot of high-quality technology and capability packed into a very light, small case. The lithium battery works great, recharges quickly. Perfect for my needs.

I have problems taking notes in class. This helped tremendously. Great samples, love the stereo option. Love the fact that the battery is rechargeable and that the USB jack just tucks itself right in like a tiny drawer. The power seems to last a while which is awesome. The stand it comes with is useful as well.Bottom line? it was worth every penny. I use it several times a week and i'm quite happy i got it.

It's a device fully functional with an excellent quality of recording. I was impressed by the price and the outstanding performance.

I've only used it three or four times but so far, I am very pleased. The menu and arrow keys make it very easy to set up your recording. Surprisingly, info on the screen is easy to read, too. Overall, sound quality is very clear and crisp but I wish I could reduce background noise levels a bit better and increase volume to more than 30--which appears to be the max. Still, I would recommend this product. Good value for the price.

I bought this to dictate ideas for my books I write, entering hell and outside hell by milo spires. Honestly it was absolutely rubbish. The sound quality appauling and not even good enough to give away to a friend for free. I will throw it in the sea when I walk my dog on the beach in the morning. Complete s***. My iphone records sound crystal clear. This thing, i even used head phones to try improving the playback. That didn't work either. If you want a dictator but have an iphone 6 plus, honestly use that, dont buy this rubbish thing.

This was highly rated by Hammacher Schlemmer so I expected greatness. Was more complicated to use than the Olympus voice recorder the practitioners have been using in our medical practice. Recording on microSD was convenient. But there's no easy way we could find to compress the MP3 voice files, which were too large to upload to our transcriptionist. Now it sits unused in a desk drawer. Will probably give it to one of our kids. The recordings were clear, and it was easy to charge.

Works good but a lot of editing.
