Cuisinart CPT-320P1 Compact 2-Slice Toaster, Brushed Stainless

What a simple, elegant and classically timeless toaster! I've had my fair share of toasters over the years and it's always a struggle to justify prime counter space with oversized toasters!After our last toaster died, we switched to a Cuisinart toaster oven, thinking that would be a great way to avoid using the oven for smaller things and have the ability to make toast in the morning. We recently retired the toaster oven and decided we were really only using the toaster oven primarily for toast, so why not buy a toaster and open up a ton of counter space!I honestly don't understand the negative reviews, but that's only because my toaster works perfectly. It's such a timeless design aesthetic and has a lot of features in a compact design. The toast is consistent and it does everything we need to get that toast made in the morning without any hassle or fuss. Having a few extra features for toasting bagels or frozen waffles is appreciated.My only complaint is when I try to toast the larger slices of gourmet bread. The slice compartment is larger to accommodate thicker bread and bagels, but it could be longer. I end up having to put the long pieces of bread in with one end sticking up at an angle, toasting it halfway, flipping it around and finish toasting the other half of the bread. Thankfully, most of the bread we use for toast fits perfectly. Just a minor criticism.One of my favorite toasters I've ever owned. Great value for the styling and functionality. A simple, modern toaster in a classically timeless design. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent toaster. It looks good on the counter and works very well. The controls are on the left, which is what I needed based on the location of other items on my counter. I am surprised that we use level 1.5 for well-done toast, when the unit goes up to level 9 (?). I initially noticed some "striping" of toast on the 2nd slot, but that has now gone away / so this has been a good purchase.

The item was fine, works well Do not pay for specificday shipping, they dont pay any attention...mine was to arrive Fri, i paid $17. It finally arrived Monday evening. No mention of refund!

A very nice toaster with a reasonable price (some of the "highly" recommended toasters carry a price tag of $180 to $250. Really? For a toaster?). Ah well, this one performs admirably and cost about $40. I especially like the deep, wide slots - they allow for a very even toasting of my morning bagel. I use a setting of 2&1/2 with the Bagel button on - produces a nice, even browning. I do, however, have to wonder about the Bagel button - it only extends the toasting time (on some units - presumably the "higher end" ones - the button also adjusts the heating elements to toast the cut side but only warm the other). If the bagel button only extends the time it seems like I could experiment with higher settings (5?) while not using the button and get the same result. The only thing I can think - if your original setting works for regular toast and using the button allows for proper toasting of your bagel then you don't have to keep changing the setting (that's not been my experience but seems like it might be the rationale).

Toasters are not very complex machines, but making toast correctly, toasting bread evenly, and functioning reliably are all things that this one does well. Controls are simple to see and use and has the added feature of the warm-up cycle that will take your toast that is popped up and cooled off and rewarm it so the butter will melt! Definitely a bonus. I am also an avid bagel consumer and the bagel function gets bagels just right also.I only concern is the toast lever is a little bit stiff on my unit yet and may loosen a little with time. But I have several times pressed the lever down till I felt a click only to find that there was one firmer click below that that actually activated the toast. So I would return frustrated that my toast had not popped up and realizing that it had not latched all the way down. But once that lesson was learned the unit functions very well!

Before I bought this toaster, I read a lot of reviews and some were really bad. For a moment I doubted to buy it, but, I do have a lot of Cuisinart appliances, and so far, I have had a great experience with the brand, so I went for it. It look great, the black plastic cover is cool to the touch, so you won't burn your hand. It is easy to use, put the bread, select the toast level, select of you want bagel toast, defrost o warm, and that's it. It will toast for about a couple minutes, and the bread is nice and ready to enjoy. Some people say that the toast does not come evenly toasted, I don't know what are they expectations, but, I've never seen a toaster that delivers an even toasted toast. I mostly toast on level 3 and 4.

Received this as a gift 3 years ago. I only use it every couple of weeks. I really like the way it looks in the space I have, on the smaller side. However, the toasting quality is disappointing. The first batch comes out okay if you like stripes on your bread. If you do a second batch right after the first, it comes out burned. Don't recommend this toaster.

My toaster arrived quickly, which was great because my old toaster had died and I love my toast in the morning! I really like to look of this toaster -- much better quality than my last toaster. I haven't tried to clean it yet, so I don't know if that is difficult, but it does not appear to be from the instructions. The settings are a little deceiving -- I placed the darkness setting right in the middle (3.5) and the toast was barely toasted to my liking. Once I turned it up to 5, its perfect! And it seems to toast so much faster than my old toaster. I highly recommend this one!
