Heirloom quality, I almost can’t believe it for the price.
My Dad had the same one for years. He gave it to me a while back and I keep it in my hobby room. He lost the pick before he gave it to me and I would hate to lose the rest of it. Great knife. Both blades come sharp and tend to stay sharp if you’re not abusing them. When they do become dull, it’s easy to put a good edge on them again because that are good quality. Some things I have noticed. The tweezers are made of a thinner gauge metal and lack the springy tension that the older ones had. I compared them side by side. I couldn’t compare the picks side by side, but from memory I know that the old one had a round brass head on it as compared to the square brass head on the new one.All in all, great price and great blades in this folding knife. If I take care of it, I can pass it off to my own child one day.

It's a good knife
What I like about the nife is it fits in my hand its extremely Sharp I like the design so but what I don't like is it got some hot spots like the edges like around the pivot area and the inner liner I will take light sandpaper and smooth them out and the one of the blades has a little greedy so I oil them up nicely it opens up a lot more smoothly but overall it's not a bad knife it just needs a little cleaning up thats all

This is a must buy.
This company has for years and years, put out an exceptional quality product with always an exceptional price. You cannot go wrong with this purchase. This trapper has a steel toothpick and steel tweezers never seen a pocket knife like this outside of swiss army or some other kind of knock off. Very well-made very well priced I have two I will purchase an additional two one in my pocket one in the glove box and two maybe for gifts

Good enough.
I've been wanting a U.S. vintage one of these, but whenever they come up for sale on the Bay and have both the pin and the tweezers, they are a ridiculous price. So I decided to just go with this version. I do wish they hadn't change the simple Old Timer shield for this one, but that's okay. There's no gaps, but there is a little bit of stepping. It's acceptable for the price. This is a beater knife for me so I'm not too concerned about it. One little issue is that the pin was a little loose and made me nervous about losing it. So I just put a very tiny bend in it just with hand pressure. That keeps it stuck in there, but the down side is when I use it (almost never) I have to orient it in the right way so it has tension.Otherwise, this is very similar to the original. It's not delrin, so it's not quite as hard and durable of a material, but it's good enough at the price. Otherwise, the quality is the same as the older USA version.
