Easy to clean, looks nice and the temperature control is smooth and easy to use. The only con I can think of is that it shuts off when it gets to what it feels is the right temp. So fluctuates temp quite a lot. If you want it to have a consistent temp, you have to fiddle with it somewhat.But for the price, still a nice addition.

This is a cute little coil burner. Less then 20.00 and works like a charm. It gets hot so fast. Will say tho when we took it out of the box and plugged it in, my son accidentally touched it and it burned him. It came out of the box with the nob turned on, check it before plugging in. I couldn't get over just how fast it got hot! It cleans fairly well. The coils lift up so your able to clean the surface. Definitely recommended!

Looking for a hot plate to use during a remodel I read a lot of reviews about units that could not boil water, this plate does not have that problem. Very hot, as a matter of fact we used a sharpie to mark way below low to mark where rice would simmer. That said, the mark works and you can use this burner for cook whatever you have in mind. The body is plastic but we have not have any problems with using pans larger than the burner. We do unplug it when not in use because it gets so hot.John

I ordered this in January. I received it in February. I didn’t get to use it until May. I’m not asking for a refund or a replacement. I just wanted to caution potential buyers. There is no way to control the temperature or the heat on this item. It simply has “on” and “off” - no temperature gauge.I use stainless steel cookware. It has caused my pots to warp and to even fly off the “stove” (eye? Burner?), costing me what was in the cookware. Thankfully, no one was hurt even with projectile contents.Please be advised: do NOT leave this unattended (obviously), and remain a good 10-15 feet away unless you have to be right on it because you will be injured.I have only used this hot plate about 5 times. It’s simply too hot and too unregulated. You can see in the photo that it gets hot enough to burn the eye itself.

I am rewriting my product review, on this black mini portable burner I purchased this last summer of 2020, I thought it would work well because it was a coil burner, but here it is the end of the year and it already has shut down. I never even dropped it. The burner just slowly faded and the heat stopped coming on. I had to shake to get it to spark on again a few times and then it just stopped working. I guess it's only good for minor uses not as a replacement burner. It worked well when I first got it, except it has a timed heat setting that cools down in the middle of your cooking which is annoying. Don't think I'll buy it again, didn't even last a year.

I have tried many coal heaters and I see a lot of companies that offer the same product just with a different name...I got the Techwood after the others went bad, and fell in love with how fast this heats up. One of the best coal heaters I have ever used, and definitely worth buying! I got it with the Warranty just in case because I will continue to use this one going forward.

I've used this hot plate twice so far and both times, I've been impressed. It gets to the temperatures set pretty fast.It is small enough that I was able to put it into my 25" luggage without taking up much space or putting on much weight. I kept it in the box to keep it from getting banged up and making it easy to transport.I used it to warm up my food in my hotel room while using a camp pot with it. It only took five minutes to warm up a bunch of hot wing leftovers I had from the previous day. After finishing, it was easy to turn off the hot plate and unplug it. There was no burning metal or plastic smell that sometimes gets reported with these types of hot plates.I am going to use the hot plate a few more times during this trip so I will update if things change.
