Easy install, quiet when turned on.
Quick delivery, easy installation (you do need to use the power cord from the previous unit), nice and quiet. I do recommend that since you are already under the sink, that you replace the remaining plumbing. Purchase the plumbing kit at the same time. Yes, it is extra money and time, but what the heck, you are already taking some of it apart....I will use this for a friend's garbage disposal that needs to be replaced.

Does the job
One really can't get too excited over a garbage disposal but this one was a good replacement for our previous model. My husband was able to install without help - a plus since plumbing is not his specialty. Operates as described.

Quality that lasts!
Had to replace a previous unit that had been installed for a very long time that eventually failed. These are tough, great quality and, in my experiences, last a very long time! I will only use this brand due to longevity and quality!

Great Resource
Searched at local hardware, Home Depot and Lowe’s. None had the model I needed to fit with my plumbing. Tools a shot in the dark Amazon might find it and sure enough they had it and delivered it the same day!

Two important notes on installing this disposal. You can thank me later. :)
I purchased this disposal to replace an identical unit that after 7 years had begun to leak. While I determined that the leak might be fixed (using epoxy around the interior surface, as youtubers suggest), for the relatively low price it made more sense to me to replace it. I want to highlight two important things to keep in mind if you do likewise. One, this unit does not come with a power cord. There may be a version with an attached power cord, but I had to purchase an accessory cord after receiving this unit. Another day without a working sink. Two, if you are connecting to a dishwasher, you will need to knock out the plastic plug inside the fitting where the dishwasher drain hose attaches. I had no idea this was necessary but discovered that after I replaced the disposal, the dishwasher wasn't draining. It seemed too coincidental, and I eventually discovered that the fitting was blocked. A quick tap with a hammer and screwdriver opened it up. I assume it is blocked because not everyone will attach a dishwasher drain hose, but I think this should be much more clearly marked on the unit to avoid confusion. I almost ended up buying a new dishwasher, which would not have even fixed the problem!

Badger 5 Garbage Disposal, Must Re-Use Old Power Cord
We had 2 Builder grade InSinkErator disposals in out kitchen. The first lasted 8 years. Now at 10 years the second broke down. Not too shabby for a device warranted for 3 years. I replaced both with these InSinkErator Badger 5 Garbage Disposals. Except for the power cord, installation was super easy and straight forward. These Badgers do not come with a power cord, so you have to remove the cord from the old unit and reinstall it in these new ones. I can only recommend watching a demo online as this is not a simple process however can be accomplished by most. Other than that, these units fit right into the old fixture with a simple twist, then use the included "L" shaped wrenches into the bracket rings to tighten. Also, If connecting to a dishwasher, the plastic drain plug must be knocked out (this Should have been an external cap to prevent it from being overlooked) and removed from the disposal grinding area prior to installing it.

Quick & Easy replacement
Relieved to find the perfect replacement for a previous one that was over ten years old. Plumbing all lined up with previous disposer and the upgrades were noted as I replaced the worn out one. Made for a very simple job.
