Less pain behind the plate
The padding in the glove helped reduce the amount of pain my child was having catching multiple games a day. Help his longevity with the game. Fit well within the catchers mit. Great value for what we paid.

Made a world of differance

Extra padding
Used for 9U kids. One pitcher throwing almost 60 was killing the catchers hand. This really helped add some padding to protect the catchers hand

My son loves it!
My son has been the only catcher this season on his team so we were looking for something to protect him from "catchers thumb". This glove has kept him from having pain. It's a little bulky in the catchers mitt but does what it's supposed to do.

too small
runs very small for a youth glove and the description is confusing on which hand the glove is supposed to be. Its not like the other brands and references the throwing hand.

Works ok but fit…..
So this protects well but the fit to be used inside a catchers mitt it’s tough especially for the younger crowd. My daughter is 5’ 14u with a very good mitt. This inner glove liner is just too bulky to fit. But we’ve noticed when we tame the time to fit it, its protection is solid. But doesn’t make sense when trying to quickly transition from batting line up to catching in a rush. We found another option that works better and faster smoother transitions

Does the Job!
By the end of my softball practices, my hand would be swollen and bright red from catching in the infield. I decided to try this glove, and I am so glad I did! It does exactly what it's meant to do, protecting my hand from the fast throws that come my way. I still have full function of my hand, and it does not hinder my catching in any way. My hand feels great at the end of practice! I am a 5'6" woman with pretty small hands, so I wasn't sure what size to order. I printed the size chart off the Markwort web site, and went with a size youth X-LARGE. It's still a little big at the end of a couple of my fingers, but it still works great. Since it velcroes at the wrist, I'm able to get a fit I'm happy with.
