good lower cost alternative, my tween kitten tried a sample and loved it, I'm now mixing it with her blue buffalo since I'm not sold that the quality is the same. I think they're good together tho and she does love it. Saves me some $$ too. She was a former feral who doesn't eat much, so I can afford to get her the more expensive stuff. If someone could convince me that this is just as good then I would switch, since she does like it better, and I'm not the one eating it (and it makes her doody less nuclear smelling and more solid, so I think she digests it better). The pet food scare of 2007 scared me off of commercial brands.

The description said it was smaller portions boxed.Well, it was 1 HUGE bag, that I had to portion it to other bags.

I've purchased this product many times before. It's my cats favorite and we've both been pleased with the whole package.Most important was that it was prepackaged in smaller quantities as description by AmazonThis is deceiving especially when an elderly individual with arthritis and other problems prevent them from handling this heavy bulk package.I would definitely not have considered this purchase as I wouldn't be able to portion it into smaller ones to keep it fresh for cat.If you can't use it fast it goes stale.That is like taking food from my fur babies mouth. With today's economy plus elderly people on a budget. I for one old folk feel very TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF..... nothing against the purina product which as usual was up to standards.
