Rolodex Wood Tones Collection Paper Clip Holder, Black (62541)

Initially I was hesitant to buy this as I saw a review on another site that warning stuffing the paper clips into the top hole is difficult. Indeed, there is no bottom hatch to dump in a ton of paperclips. However, it's really not that hard to load it up--It took me less than 2 minutes to get 200 paperclips into this.Despite what the other reviewer said, the magnet is not really that strong. You can put this near a hard drive without a problem. As an experiment, I put some data onto a hard disk, left the hard disk sitting on top of the clip holder for a day--no data loss. Speaking as a guy who has worked in computer storage for some time, it takes some serious magnets to mess up a hard disk.If you have the pencil holder in this collection, this paper clip holder is a little shorter and a little narrower. It looks great with the other pieces of this set (I have the letter trays, a few pencil holders, the business card holder).Highly recommended. There's not much out there that looks this good at this price.

This is very nice in person and looks sleek on the desk. The only SLIGHT drawback is there is no lid to it so you can't just fill it up with paper clips and replace the lid... you have to push the paper clips down through the hole at top to fill it. However, this minor inconvenience is really what makes it look so nice on your desk... the reason that it is slick looking - no seams, no lame plastic look. So if you are cool with loading it in this way, you'll like the addition of this piece to your desktop. I also own several other Rolodex wood tones desktop products and everything matches perfectly.

Looks rich, but not too expensive.

This is a handy box, and it looks great on the desk, much better than the plastic boxes. Magnet makes it easy to shake the clips out without them going everywhere.

I like the look of it and I like that it is small but not too small. The only thing I don't like is the paperclips keep falling back down inside like the magnet isn't strong enough.

Kind of boring looking. Hard to tell it isn't just made of black plastic.

Poorly finished with edges rough to the touch. Paper clips lay across the hole and won't come out. Opening too small for even the tiniest binder clips.

For the price, it is exactly what you expect. Definitely prettier than the clear plastic ones. Not much more to say. It's a good deal.
