Simple design, typical Safarliland quality
Safarliland has been an industry leader in the LE market for over 40 yrs. This is just one more example of a well made purpose specific product

Better than expected
First I should note that I CANNOT find any speedloader holder that fits COMP III loaders as good as this one. The longer handle on those really hurt portability and selection, but these fit them quite well and is not overly bulky IMO.I assumed the entire product was made of plastic and I was WRONG. The back piece that attaches to the belt is a solid leather loop (not a clip) that is quite sturdy and suprisingly rugged. The piece that holds the speedloaders in are in fact plastic, but don't feel cheap. The title says COMP III loaders fit but they actually fit all three types of safariland loaders. (1,2&3) at the same time. The only thing I have a quarrel with is in the included directions it states that the "internal saftey clip" can be used for all three types of loaders but this is a lie. III's will not fit with the clip inside so ithas to be removed. Its truly not a big deal and the outer shirt guard does a very good job at keeping them snug even without the saftey. (Held the product upside down and shook it with loaders inside and they didn't even budge) if not for the directions being printed wrong, the packaging was quite nice and contained a reusable thick plastic pouch with a zipper enclosure for safe storage. (potential brass case holder) im overall very satisfiedSafariland makes great products as faras I can tell :-)

Great Cost Effective Speedloader Holder for Competition!
I compete with a S&W 686 in both IDPA and ICORE. For IDPA, I primarily use three individual competition specific speedloader holders that each cost as much as this unit. For ICORE, I supplemented those with one Safariland 333-3-2 for the high round count stages. Needless to say, the Safariland 333 is quickly taking over as the preferred carrier over the custom molded competition designed ones.First off, the item I received is the Safariland 333-3-2-175, which is the correct model for my revolver. The -3 in the second position is made for L-Frames like my 686, whereas the -2 model in the second position denotes that it is made for K-Frames, like a Model 66.Secondly, I primarily use Safariland Comp III speedloaders, but also have a Comp II mixed in, as well as a single HKS 586 speedloader. I have verified that all fit.Being that I think most people these days are using the Comp III speedloaders, I will address the question that everyone brings up - they will indeed fit. I found that it is easier to remove the security tab to get these to fit better, but they fit with the security tab in place, it just requires a bit of wiggling to get them seated. The literature says you may use the Safariland 333 with or without the security clip in place with the Comp III speedloaders, but states that the security clip MUST be in place for the Comp I and Comp II speedloaders, and note that they will lock into place with a definite clicking sound. I've found that the click is not "definite" and don't notice a significant change in retention between using the clip and not using the clip with a Comp II.As for the HKS 586, it also seats flush into the speedloader holder, and the internal security clip does not interfere with the seating, nor does it lock into any part of the speedloader as it does the Safariland speedloaders. The lip on the back of the speedloader does provide ample retention for all models, in my experience, for competition use. That said, for competition, I believe this is a great asset with Comp II or Comp III speedloaders. However, as the speedloaders are held in place primarily with friction and can be pulled out with force, I would not recommend these for duty use.

Great , but has one flaw.
Love it , but speedloaders have a tendency to fall out. Could have easily been designed to prevent this. I am using a small bungee cord and it works perfectly.

it works
little hard to manage at first, but works fine after understanding what is supposed to happen

Sturdy, good retention
The backing is designed to slide onto a belt, I wish it offered a snap closure, so that I didn’t have to therad it through the belt as my gun belt is too thick to use them. If it wasn’t for that, I would give it five stars.

Competition-worthy.
These are not, in my opinion, duty-worthy. They are great for Comp 2 reloaders for a match, though.
