Perfect Cable Cutter
Perfect tool!I have a heavy gauge generator cable I needed to cut the end off. This tool worked perfectly. It was sharp and it ratchets til the cable is completed cut. If you have a heavy gauge cable to cut this is the tool for you. I absolutely recommend it.

Cut AWG 1/0 without problems and can likely cut thicker electrical cables
Don't use the bolt-cutter-style of wire cutters. This is much easier, takes less strength, weights a lot less and take a lot less space in a box/bag.Cuts AWG 1/0 without problems.Just try it a bit to get it right and not do an angle cut.

Good for the price
The media could not be loaded. I tried it out with 600 kcmil aluminum cable and it works… not easily but it works.

Great Cutters for the Cost
Was a little skeptical buying these at their price point compared to the name brand, but I am beyond impressed. They perform as well as any ratcheting cutter I’ve ever used. The compact size makes them fit perfectly into my backpack tool bag, so I always have cutters for large cable. Out of the box they were plenty sharp to cut any cable I’ve put it up against. The grip handle on them are a little lower quality rubber I feel could break down over time, but for the cost it’s to be expected. I’ve used them a few dozen times already and they have not failed me, dropped them in the mud and they seem to be as durable as they were out of the box. The cutters look exactly like the name brand and it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s the same manufacturer at the end of the day.Highly recommend these to any electrician looking to have some small ratcheting cutters that don’t break the bank.

Replacing Battery Terminals made easy
If you ever want to replace battery terminals and put on a new connectors, ytou will first get a clean cut on the leads. This tool assisted with exactly that. Worked like a charm. A simple tool that gave me a a good clean cut so I could install new terminals.

Cutting Jaw(s) Jammed Closed
The Yangoutool Ratchet Cable Wire Cutter has been returned. I am providing them with a "gift-with-return" : a bike lock. The reason is that the allegedly "quick" release lever does not work. The jaws/blades are permanently jammed around the rubbery exterior of the bike lock cable. The only way I was able to remove the bike lock was because I literally twisted the cables (with my bare hands) until the lock portion snapped away from the cable portion ...the rachet cable cutter had nothing to do with this amazing feat. All rachet cable cutters are not created equal. The better ones have a distinct thumb lever on the side of the tool so the user can easily open the cutting jaws. Opening this tool (even before I tried to cut the bike lock), was very tricky since it did not open freely.I noticed that there was chipped paint on this particular tool upon opening so it is possible that it was a damaged/returned item but even if it was, it should still open. The tool is too glitchy and can not be relied on.
