This Old City Unltd. Dustpan Bench Woodworking Brush is fantastic! It's beautifully made in the USA with strong horsehair bristles and beech wood. It cleans really well without scratching anything, and it feels great in your hand. You can tell they put a lot of care into making it. It's durable, looks nice, and makes cleaning easier. This brush is amazing. I used to think there wasn't a massive difference in brushes. Huge mistake because this brush is far superior to any I have used in the past. Believe me--after ordering three other brands of brushes with slightly lower price tags, I have really come to appreciate the quality, craftsmanship and performance this brush brings to the table (and floor).It's beautiful and it works. The handle is thick and serves a purpose by elevating the brush further from the surface you are sweeping. The bristles are long and plentiful and perfectly sweep up whatever it is you're aiming to clean. I primarily use this near my pellet stove set up. It sweeps saw dust and ash with ease and in one pass. And it looks really nice.Love this brush. I wish I bought it from the get-go. It's a worthy investment. And it's made in the USA.

Purchased this brush to aid in an activity I despise—dusting. The size of the brush along with the soft yet thick set of bristles makes completing this chore much faster. The brush is also comfortable to hold and has a nice feeling of quality and durability. Who knew I could be so impressed by a simple brush?

I recently order and received your brush and wanted to take a minute to thank you for an excellent product and restoring the quality of the past in the production of your fine brushes.Unfortunately, the workbench type brushes being produced today don’t even come close to the old day brushes or now, your brushes. As much as I love the big box stores and local hardware stores when in need of items, no one seems to carry a quality brush like yours. Many of the brushes sold don’t clean well even after many swipes. Your brush, in one easy and gentle swipe dirt and dust gone. So soft is your brush, I can use it on furniture.With all this, there is something else your brush offers, pride of ownership of a quality item, that I plan on passing down for generations as stated in your tag line. I went ahead and wrote your slogan on the brush, signed it and dated my signature for my kids and their kids will take pride in it as well. May I suggest that you consider stamping that slogan as well on your brush next to the OLD CITY stamp “BRUSHES FOR GENERATIONS”.Keep up the great work!

When this first arrived ..despite it being well-made and lovely... the handle I found was large & bulky, hurt my grip quite instantly & I initiated a return promptly. I couldn’t believe the handle had not been whittled down further to accommodate all hand sizes and strengths. This appeared to be made for a man 👱‍♂️with large strong ✋hands😩. I was quite annoyed😒. 💭 "How were there so many (uhm.. ALL[!]) five star reviews & this was not mentioned by anyone?!?!?"🤔 While only in my 30s, my hands started losing strength in the last few years. Cleaning tools with normal or small handles are my nemesis. I couldn’t imagine anyone with smaller hands or older aged trying to accommodate! I obtained three brush mainly for cleaning debris off my outdoor sunbrella covered patio furniture. Since the brush was already here and I desperately needed, I continued using throughout the day.. it's fall and there are plenty o🍃🌿 leaves about.. 🙏 my lovely neighbor's 100+ year old tree which hangs & debris only directly over MY 🏡 & back porch. Oddly, the brush started working for me 🤷‍♀️and the pain in my hand was not as apparent... so I continued using.. it does work beautifully aside. The pain has ceased a bit🤷‍♀️.. I try to hold closer to bristles and decided to keep.I still believe the rather generous handle should be reduced further for additional comfort and I do see that any crafter or handyman could fairly easily adjust that themselves...It is wood. Maybe one day I'll get a wild hair. But..nevertheless.. & 1 ⭐️off for that.

It's new, gotta be honest, but seems very well made, perfect width and length for me purposes, substantial handle that will last three life of the brush. It's not going to break through even rough normal usage. I don't expect to need to buy another like this for a long, long time. Great value for the price, you won't find this quality at a chain store.Edit 12/2020, still working and looking great. No problems with the bristles or the handle. One of the best tools I've bought. Great shop brush.Edit 1/2021, still a fantastic brush with no problems at all. Great product!Edit 6/2022, still going strong, not shedding bristles, wood is in perfect condition.Edit 10/2023 still absolutely perfect and holding up well. A little worn, a little dirty, but that's from doing it's job.2024, fifth year final review, it's still doing exactly what it was made for, very little shedding of bristles to this point, wood is weathered from use but in perfect condition. Still a great brush and a great purchase. Cheers!

better than I thought.all carefully made with a oil finish.the only problem is that they put the oil on and shipped it right away.I sanded the fibers off and put some soap finish on.better wet sand the handle or dry the oil then gently sand before shipping.
