Signature Hardware 251483 Kembla 30" Farmhouse Single Basin Copper Kitchen Sink

I love copper and decided to do copper accents when I was renovating my kitchen 2 years ago. I got the copper sink, range hood, cabinet knobs and faucet. It looks beautiful. But I knew I was taking a chance on a copper sink and everyone suggested I don't do it. I paid far more for this than I would have if I went stainless. The sink came with recommendations of what to do and not do and I followed them as best I could. But it is after all a kitchen sink and you do put food and liquids in it which I wash off as quickly as possible. First off, the picture was of shiny copper even though the listing said it was antique copper. I wanted the shiny copper. But more importantly, the inside of it now looks like crap. Basically the bottom of the sink has gotten all splotchy and the finish worn off in areas where food or drink touched it. It then starts turning greenish. When it's cleaned it gets shiny copper but not the antiqued finish it was. Sadly even when the bottom is just cleaned, it looks filthy and I didn't realise I'd actually be embarrassed by it until I had a pet sitter. I will never do it again. The drain insert by the same brand I also bought still looks new.

It’s a big beautiful sink! Copper takes some maintenance but it’s worth it!

The sink came with a little dent in the front an a small nick on it as well! Would like to exchange for another one
