When my son was 10 months old he got a cold & was miserable with a stopped up nose, sneezing, coughing & i can imagine he had a sore throat because he made a few hard swallows while drinking his milk. I wanted something natural for him, that wouldn't make me feel bad for not knowing if I was giving him something that would help or make him feel worse. Hylands have always been a trusted brand in my house, because I've used the brand for different things in the past. This cold medicine is clear like water & I"m not sure the taste because I put the directed amount into my son's bottle instead of using the syringe to put it in his mouth-- he fights me when I try to use the syringe, so I measure it out first, then put that amount into his bottle so he doesn't know he's getting medicine. Within a few minutes his nose unclogs & I can hear him breathing easier, the coughing will stop & no more sneezing. I also use a little bit of Maty's baby rub on the soles of his feet with some warm socks before putting him to bed, along with a proper dose of this cold medicine. It helps him every time, day or night.

This product was a lifesaver for us this past winter. It's been hard to find almost any medication for children under the age of 2 (some say "baby" but are for 3-4 year olds) and the Nighttime Tiny Cold Syrup was truly a lifesaver for us. Once I started having trouble finding it up here in Alaska, I started buying it on Amazon. We're about to open our last bottle and it's time to reorder. We tried the Tiny Cold Tablets but you have to give them more often and the one-and-done dosage on the syrup worked better for us. Our boxes have looked different than the one currently pictured with the duck but I did some internet research and it looks like they just changed their packaging and went from the branding of Hyland's to Hyland's Natural.

After the belladonna scare and the recall of all Hyland's teething tablets, I was hesitant to purchase this cold syrup. However, I'm SO glad I did!! First, it does NOT contain belladonna. Second, it magically transforms a coughing, stuffy, and fussy baby into a peaceful sleeping angel. How does it do that? I have no idea. All I know it, if your baby is sick and you're running low on sleep, this stuff is great!! **On a side note, we've also tried the Hyland's baby nighttime cold and mucus syrup. I prefer just the cold (not mucus). I felt like the mucus one made her vocal quality sound dry the next day.**

Did what it needed to do. We had a 10 month old (now 1 year) that caught the flu, and was pretty nasty there for awhile, coughing sneezing gagging throwing up.. it was pretty scary for a first time parent. As time went on, she got worse and im thinking the worst.So after many home remedies and natural solutions we calmed down most of the symptons except for the midnight cough, which would, in turn, leave us wide awake just to get up in 4 hours for work, lovely right? not really.After two night with this, plus a humidifier to keep things moist, her cough was gone. Not completely but enough for her to sleep peaceful. It took about 2-3 weeks for all her symptons to go away and now she is back to normal (thank the lovely earth). So all in all, great product for the brightest star in your life.

This stuff is great! I only have to give it to the kids twice a day, and if the cold is a little more aggressive; I usually will give right before bed, once when they get up, and once, or twice during the day. If they have a cold and cough, I use the cold and cough to start. Then when it turns to just a cough, I use this product. The cold usually only lasts one, or two days and then one day of a cough. I usually only have to do twice a day for either product. Once at bedtime, and once when getting up. This stuff is that good, and the kids love it. They always say, "Juice mommy".

Works well for our 10 month old twins and also works well for our 3 year old too! Highly recommend!

Effectiveness for bouts of cough is hit or miss, same goes for acceptance by baby.

This cough syrup is good for giving at bedtime as it is effective in suppressing coughs and lets the baby sleep without waking up to cough. I guess it has a drowsy effect too that’s why it’s meant for nighttime. It seems more effective than the daytime one.
