I bought these for my 2nd grader and she used it for school and now plays with it to make shapes, patterns and pictures. The wood and posts are solid and well made and we haven’t broke a rubber band yet.

The smallest bands don't work as the smallest connectors as they should; they are too big. Too bad. I expect sellers to try the product before mass producing, or did I get a bad batch?

I ordered two sets of these to use with older adults. They were a little smaller than I had imagined, however they are good quality and nicely packaged!

My kids enjoy this activity. It’s great for fine motor skills, creativity, and following directions.

Great classic toy. I remember really enjoying these as as kid.These boards are high quality, but a bit smaller than I was expecting. The small size makes these boards easy to store or use on the go, however, the small size also means the nail heads are spaced very close together. The tight gaps between the nail heads does make it more challenging to get the elastics in and out. With this in mind, this set is probably better suited to children preschool and above. We have been using it with our toddler, but it will be a while before he can really shape the bands independently.Our son is still too young to really use these geoboards as intended, but he loves just stretching the rubber bands across the pegs to make lines. This stretching is great for strengthening his finger muscles (necessary for writing) and fine motor skills. Until he is a little older we just play with the geoboard together. I make shapes for him to identify and discuss the colors and relative sizes.I like that this set comes with elastics of different sizes. This allows you to easily make shapes and lines big and small.The set also comes with pattern card if your kids need ideas or want to challenge themselves. These geoboards would be the perfect quiet toy to occupy young kids while waiting in restaurants. Just throw a board, a handful of rubber bands and couple pattern cards in a small bag and you have a great on the go activity.Overall a great toy that will grow with you child.
