The price was pretty low (on-sale?). I was worried that I was going to get a annoyingly small cheaply made chess set. But that's not what I received.This set is pretty nice, and a good size, not mini. I seem to remember the description mentioning something about magnets, this set has no magnetics whatsoever, I do not see a need for them anyway

We love the chess board. Teaching my son how to play. works great, stores all the pieces inside.

My child started playing chess and thought this board was a good fit! It is so convenient because you can carry it almost everywhere. It folds up nice and holds the chess pieces two ways either in a bag or chess piece holders. The chess board is also very light but sturdy when playing.

For the price they work well in my classroom. A few of the pieces are warped on the bottom and don't sit flat and sway back and forth... but other than that my kids have enjoyed them in the classroom
