such great flavor and texture
These have to be filed under things I didn't know I needed, but now can't live without. I am not sure how I happened upon these, but I am glad I did. I didn't realize how big the bag was going to be, but I am glad it is large.I have been on a miso soup kick. Keeping green onions in stock is not easy when you use them nearly daily. I took a chance on these based on reviews. The picture is a quick miso based soup with some ramen noodles, shiitake mushrooms, 1/4 cup of these green onions, and some fresh parsley. So simple, so good and I will buy another bag once my bag gets low.I portioned a good bit of them into a large mason jar and keep the jar near the oven for easy access. Now I need to look into dried mushrooms!

Nice Flavor, OK Texture
This is probably one of the best dried green onion / scallion versions I've tasted. The flavor is robust but to really use it it needs a chance to hydrate in a dish. I've used it in wet salads (tuna, chicken, etc.) but it needs to have a chance to "steep" for the taste to blossom. I've also used in rice dishes with good results.Out of the bag the flavor is good, but as a texture not so great.

Easier than chopping everytime..
It is much easier to order them than to do it yourself They do work and it is better to always have them on hand

will definitely buy again
I use dried green onions for so many things I cook. I live in south Louisiana and use to buy from a company down here called Zatarains, but they quit selling them and there are no other dried options in stores. I bought these and stored in jars in my seasoning cabinet. They are perfect and just what I needed.
