Very easy to install

Smart Design
At 1/4 the cost of the failed premium LED boat trailer tail lights they replaced; these are a great value that appear to be vastly superior. I expect thay will last a long time.Housing is not sealed and has has drain holes top and bottom, wires pass thro an open hole. Presumably, all LED and electical element are sealed. Wires appear to be tinned copper. Haven't dunked the boat just yet, but I am pleased with the design. In my experience, un-tinned copper wire corrodes away to nothing after a couple of seasons of use - tinned copper wire, e.g. Ancor, does not. Wiring pigtails with connectors provide extra areas that corrode and fail. Sealed housings tend to lose their integrity after which the water is trapped inside the housing, slowly killing the unit. I Installed using stainless studs/nylock nuts & heat shrink solder sticks, for waterproof wire splices. Supplied metric mounting studs/locknuts are not stainless.

Every thing you need
Package contained everything needed to replace all wiring and lights on my older boat trailer. Some what concerned about the longevity of the license plate bracket supplied as it is very rigid plastic.

Stopped working before first road trip
My review of these is a bit late, but here we go. I purchased these in the summer of 2023 to replace a broken tail light on my boat trailer.These were easy to install. Within 15 minutes I had these installed and working with the old/existing trailer wiring. Then the boat and trail sat for 8 months due to various reasons.The past weekend I loaded everything up for a short fishing trip. The lights DID NOT WORK. I live where the sun is pretty intense so I figured the old wiring might be the issue, so I ran the new wire from my truck to the light for a quick test and the light worked. Problem identified! 30 minutes later I had working lights and I set off.After one day on the water, I was stopped at the landing by an attendant who pointed out my passenger side light was out. Sure enough it is not working. Today, I'm tearing it all apart to test AGAIN!
