The product is soft and comfortable, heavy fabric but I could be nine months pregnant in here and still have room. The robe is very roomy so I order a size down if you want a better fit.

Great at absorbing moisture! True cotton terry cloth. Thicker than it looks or seems. A bit heavier too. But this is a substantial robe if that is what you are looking for.

Updated review:I am leaving my original review below as a caution. Make sure your order is fulfilled by Amazon to get a genuine Texeresilk robe. Avoid the seller Samudy like the plague!The gentlemen at Texeresilk reached out to me after reading my review and let me know that I must have received a counterfeit robe rather than one of their manufacture. After speaking with them, I concur. The counterfeit robe is definitely not bamboo, but is instead synthetic fleece, and it shipped from China instead of the US. Samudy is blatantly trying to steal business by using the Texeresilk name.Now, on to the actual Texeresilk product: Texeresilk has gone above and beyond the call of duty in customer service. The fulfilment department realized that they didn't currently carry my size robe (2x) as this size is just now in the process of being added to their product line. This size won't be available for a couple of months, at which time they will ship one. In the interim, as they wanted me to see the quality of THEIR genuine product, they shipped a complimentary 2x spa set consisting of a hair wrap and towel wrap.The fabric is a bamboo/cotton blend (60/30) and is lightweight, buttery soft, and very absorbent. The seams are sturdily sewn and the cut is true to size. No chilly gap in the front here! It wraps generously around me and stays up with a combination of Velcro and softly elastic top edge. Amazingly, the hair wrap is able to contain all of my hair with room to spare. I say amazingly because my hair is mid thigh length and on the way to knee length. An ordinary towel turban leaves a foot of hair free to drip, but the curved pocket design of this hair wrap contains all my hair with ease and doesn't tangle it. It thirstilly absorbs water which greatly speeds the dry time of my hair.Thank you guys! I'm looking forward to the robe arriving and will update this again at that time. In the interim, your customer service is stellar and your textile is lovely. I am increasing the star rating from 1 (reflective of the counterfeit robe) , to 4 (reflective of the quality of customer service and the excellent textile and craftsmanship. I chose this one for the many reviews touting how warm and soft it is and pulled the trigger on ordering. Soft it is, but the fabric is woven of sorrow and disappointment. First, it came from China which meant a long delay before arrival. The listing of Prime led me to expect it in days, not in weeks. Perhaps it took a while to reap enough sorrow to make it.It arrived today and I eagerly opened the parcel. Inside, a very soft bathrobe in a lovely shade of cotton candy pink. Holding it up, yes it is short, but since I'm 5'2" I don't object to that.As I tried it on the sorrowful strains of violin began to stream from the fabric. Such promise and hope dashed to shreds on the shoals of some factory in China. I had ordered a 2x as I am a woman of substance. The parcel claimed 2x. The garment proclaimed instantly that 2x is a lie. The robe has a foot wide gap in the front. Closing isn't even a wild dream. The shoulders strain across the back, and I am not sporting the shoulders of a linebacker ...not even Joan Collins in huge shoulderpads shoulders. The sleeves are straining on my decidedly average biceps and end above my wristbones. The cut of this is most definitely NOT a 2x. It is at most a medium and more accurately a small. Money wasted since it is not worth the hassle and postage to return this to China. I remain a cold and unhappy camper. :(

Been looking for a decent terry robe for out of the shower. This one was a S-M. Had tried a small in another company and it went back because it was skimpy. A S-M fit my expectations. It Thinking it would shrink a bit because everything I own goes in the dryer. It is not too thick and not too thin. I compared it to my quality Hotel towels. Not as thick but fine. Overlap is nice and big. I’m 5’1 and weigh 105. it has lots of room , to wrap around, and tie. Comes to 2/3rd down my calf and it suits my purpose. Glad I didn’t get one with a hood because this one weighs over 3 pounds. Pleased. Washed 1 time before wearing. Didn’t get tons of lint, did not fluff up to twice the size, but a solid robe. Don’t remember how much a robe costs, but after retuning the small skimpy thin robe, I was pleased. Nice blue too.

Initially, I liked the robe, because it was soft and absorbent. But the more I used it, what stood out to me was that it was actually very heavy. There hadn’t been many choices in the sizes offered. The Small was too small, but the only other size was the M/L. A S/M would’ve been an intermediate, and possibly a better choice. I’m not sure if it was the weight of the fabric itself, or the way the robe was designed, but there was too much extra fabric in the lower half of the robe, and it weighed everything down, making it uncomfortable to wear for more than a few

The Robe is very plush and soft, I got the 2XL/3XL and normally wear a L/XL. I am returning it because when I sit down it doesn't stay closed. I live in a colder climate and I wanted a robe that would stay closed. It was long enough. Very nice robe though, I just don't think the sizes are quite correct.
