Destacó el embalaje, ya que viene muy bien protegido, la locomotora y sus bagones dentro de una caja de plumavit, todo esto en otra caja cubierta por relleno para evitar daños, los rieles muy fácil de montar, obviamente hay que hacerlo con paciencia ya que las conexiones son finas y frágiles, me hubiera gustado subir un video con el tren funcionado, pero solo puedo subir un video por reseña. Monte los rieles sobre una lámina de corcho, y el ruido se minimiza mucho. Estoy contento con la compra.

It was obvious that the product I received was a return from someone else. Perhaps in one of the above reviews. The vendor that sold this product couldn't be bothered to even give it a glance to see if it was in sellable condition. I didn't discover the problem until I began to wrap it for placement under the tree. The inside display carton was not put into the box properly and the box viewing windows were misaligned. That should have been a clue, do not re-sell this unit! Carefully opening the box, I discover more issues. Pieces began falling out of the box onto the wrapping table. Now, I've opened a few boxes in my time and know when something is packed properly. A couple of small pieces appeared, pieces broken off from somewhere in the kit. Trying to ignore the small pieces and the already torn bag of instructions, I went about repackaging the items in their proper positions and hoped for the best. Now, Christmas Day, it gets worse. The Little Engine that could, simply won't. We didn't bother putting it on the track as it would be impossible for it to work. Please know I'm not a Train Engineer, or, an Engineer of any sort, however, my limited mechanical prowess tells me, "That ain't right!" Please see pictures. To make matters worse, the expected arrival of a replacement is mid February. I'm writing this review Christmas Day, 2020 The first train kit was exchanged without problem, and, shipped much more quickly than originally estimated. It arrived only four weeks after requesting the exchange instead of the nearly two months I was led to believe. That's the good news. The bad news for this kit continues... The items placed in the viewing windows of the box appeared out of order, again. That would not have been a problem IF the rest of the product was intact, it wasn't. Damaged Locomotive and missing instructions cause me to return this set again. (See the second two pictures) The second kit wasn't as badly damaged as the first, so, I still had hopes. I would have taken a gamble and done another exchange, but, that didn't seem to be an option when I completed the return/exchange process.

Vry nice christmas train. Not cheap looking.

This train looks very nice in my Christmas village. If you have never owned a train like this and are buying one to add to your Christmas village, I will say they are not easy to use. Yes, getting the train track put together just right is important and yes, the train parts are fragile. It can be very difficult to get the wheels on the track perfectly, especially if you have eyesight issues. As frustrating as it is, it is still a nice addition to a Christmas village.

Bought for Christmas for grandson. Arrived as expected and we loved the look of the Norman Rockwell train. Sadly had to return it as we could not get the engine to work. :(

The train track assembly is not so easy. I had to return my first set due to defective track. Most pieces fit together easily, but several were very difficult to attach causing bending of connections and they did not fit flush, so train kept derailing. I used a pliers to try to rectify and ended up mutilating connections. Also some of detailing broke off very easily. Amazon was extremely fast to send me a new set before I even returned the first one.My second track assembled much easier, but to my dismay, 3 of the curved tracks had same issue as first set. I was able to resolve issues with track after about an hour of playing with connections. I used small pliers again and also discovered that rail can be pushed with screw driver to left and right. Train is running great now, but glad I leave my village up year round without power at off season. I would not want to take apart track and put back together repeatedly due to fragility of connections.

The details on the pieces were well made. Unfortunately we had some broken windows. We also could not get it to stay on the track even running at a slow speed.

Both train cars will not stay coupled. Therefore renders this train set useless. You would think in this day and age it would not be a problem to keep the cars coupled. Returning for a refund. Very disappointed.

OK, so I'm not a train buff, and this is my first "real" train set, but I really like it. It runs smoothly, and the engine and cars are beautifully detailed, at least to my eye.The only thing - I set it up running counter-clockwise, and almost every circuit, the combo car would uncouple. I tried putting it at the end, and turning it around, but with the same result - at one specific point, it would uncouple. I couldn't find anything wrong with the track, and it didn't happen with any other cars. But when I turned the whole train around and had it run clockwise, it worked perfectly, both in forward and reverse. Kinda strange, but since it's just going to be run around a Christmas tree, it's no problem.UPDATE: After I posted my original review, I re-examined the track, and discovered that one straight section of track had a very slight hump. It was enough to cause the car couplings to get misaligned and come apart. The couplings are quite thin. Once I gently leveled the track section, the train runs perfectly in both directions. So I gave back the star I had taken away :D

Just received it, notice a defected part. Also damaged box, little bit disappointed. Sending it back, has to find another one today for my friend’s birthday tomorrow.

I read reviews on this train and they were mixed. I took a chance and I am so glad I did. I bought it for our Lemax Christmas Display and it is perfect. I can't say how long it will last because the display has only been up a short time, but Bachmann is a good and respected name so I have no worries. One sign of a good model train is being able to let it crawl at a painfully slow speed with no issues, and this one does it. I highly recommend it. I only wish it came with a caboose.

The first one was open/used/damaged…The replacement was open/used/damaged.
