EDIT: Changing review to one star, as the case no longer charges after 3 1/2 months. This is a shame, as I liked this case. But I woukd have expected at least a year of life.Decent battery pack for the price. If you have not purchased a battery phone cover before, you should be aware of a few issues will all of these going in:They tend to be ugly.They will add quite a bit of bulk to the phone. Keep in mind that the added weight will make the phone more vulnerable to falls. Again, this is an issue with any battery case with decent capacity. Other than that, I don't find the additional bulk or weight bothersome at all, but YMMV.As for this case:My only issue with the case so far is that the top and bottom bumpers should be a bit larger, as this would provide some additional drop protection. As it is they are a bit small -- just barely over the curve of the screen. The power button will also . occasionally trigger by itself, but I think this is probably harmless.The material used is flexible and fairly grippy, and the phone is easy to take in and out -- which I do a lot to use it with the Gear VR headset.The fingerprint reader will still work, but you will need to add another fingerprint profile with the case *on*. Your existing fingerprint profile definitely won't work. This is easy to do, as the s8 will allow multiple fingerprints on the same phone.So far, the battery appears to be about the rated capacity, or maybe slightly less. No issues with the battery holding a charge or the pass thru charging, although quick charge does not work. Again, this is pretty standard with most battery cases, I think.So far no issues with wifi or cellular data. Samsung pay (NFC) and bluetooth work fine.At $22 for the regular s8, this is a pretty good deal overall -- just be aware that all battery cases have drawbacks, and this one is no different.

The case is nice, with a few caveats. First off, comparing my new case to the amazon photos, I felt like I was looking at different cases. It is HUGE in-hand compared to the product pics (especially the top portion that is supposed to be slimmer). The battery protrudes quite a bit (much more than the pics); it basically robs your phone of the visual aesthetic (like an otterbox w/ a battery). I had no problems with the fingerprint sensor with the case on (my hands are only slightly larger than normal). I am actually considering a premium case now, but until then this is a very serviceable case, and the 4 corners provide decent screen-drop protection. Plus, can't beat the deal.

Works pretty well so far. It charged up the phone, then the battery pack. There's a recessed power button to turn the backup battery on. The fit is very nice, but the finger print scanner doesn't work well with this case. I bought it for the battery power at a great price, so I don't care. Iris or facial recognition work fine. It's pretty slim, but you'll know you have an extra battery by the heft of it. It's worth it to me to have a full day in the sun, be able to use my device all day taking pics, etc. and still be able to show them off.

This case does work for what it's intended, it charges my phone back up rapidly from dead and the capacity on the case markings indicate it's 4000 mah. the one I received (s8 plus is thicker than what is displayed but that is not a big deal. The only thing I really don't like about it is because the manufacturer included an Iron sheet integrated in the case for mounting to magnetic brackets Samsung pay and any RFID functionality are not usable unless you take the case off. NFC only for some reason still works but worth noting

Really would be a better product if it wasn't so bulky and weighs less . Far as the charge goes its up and down charges when its feels like charging . What i mean by that is , ill press the charge button and it will come on but then it goes back out and that happens a lot . Don't get me wrong it will charge phone just not when you really need it . ALSO THE RECHARGING TIME IS AROUND 4HRS other then what I've discribe it's a "OK" PROUDUCT.

Great battery case!Positives* Well-made, feels solid* Wraps around the screen in a way that still provides (minimal) screen protection when placed face down and keeps the front looking sleekNegatives* It's heavy. That's to be expected but it's not just a little more weight, it's definitely a brick in your hand* Nothing thin about it. The pictures are deceptive, because they make the case look much more svelte than it is in reality.* Battery case periodically activates itself on its own without pushing the button, which is odd.

This phone case charger i think doesnt charge itself while its hooked to the phone because when i press the button to stop charging the phone and i want to just charge the case i plug the charging cable to case and it starts charging the phone again while its doing that i press the charging button several times it doesnt stop charging my phone. So i now take off the phone charging case to separately charge my phone because i felt this charging case get heated.

Case feels very nice to hold but is awkward. The way it is designed it is bottom heavy. Hard to touch fingerprint reader. Not well designed for use of it. Isn't as thin as picture made it look but it is ok. I've had heavier battery cases on other phones. For price I don't think you can beat it, but if you use the fingerprint reader a lot prepare for the awkwardness of the case.
