We use this for the wire which is about 12 inches outside of the 4ft high welded wire fence that we have around the 100 x 25' vegetable garden. We run a low wire about 4 to 6 inches above the ground to keep rabbits and groundhogs out and another wire just out from the fence to discourage the deer. It's been working just fine so far. Keep the weeds away from the wire and make sure to have a good grounding system. Also buy an inexpensive electric fence tester to verify everything is working properly.

Ez to install and operate. No problem going 2-3 days with no sun. Works all weather.Thinking about another to supercharge both lines for my raccoons. Yes, it has worked on them as well.Btw, one of these I ordered arrived doa. I charged it for 3 days as recommended and tested it with a line tester and nothing. Kudos to the seller who sent me another within 3 days and didn't want the dead one back. Be aware of return and exchange policy on these units.

I have mine for almost a year now. It's working GREAT! I shopped around and watched videos for how to set up an electric fence. Some folks buy a charger, solar panel, fence energizer, and battery and put it in a weather sealed box. What a pain. I don't have time for that. I can build things, but just needed an easy and quick fence charger that I can use in my bee yard and install quickly. We have bears and skunks. They are attracted to the bees as a food source. I like the simplicity of this fence charger. Stick it on top of a T-post, run the wires and two 4' simple ground rods, bingo. Problem solved. I got everything from Amazon so I don't have to go to every Tractor supply in the state to find the parts. As I set up new bee yards, I'll just keep buying extra setups. Easy peasy. No more Yogi.

I ran 3 strands of wire around an acre of land and bridged them together before the battery box. It works even without a full sunlight spot. I get maybe 3-4 hours of solid light. When its a sunny day shock it strong! When its been cloudy that day or the day before the shock can be subtle. I've had it for less than a year. Haven't had it through a winter yet - wondering how it will hold up. Easy to install. I doubt it will work on 10 miles of electric fence but it works well enough with limited sun on an acre.

Easy to use/ install and easy to fix(it has a battery and a switch what do you expect). I like that i i can install it anywhere as long as i have a t post. The off button is nice allowing you to work on fence. Down side is you need to let it charge before use.

Company doesn't back theor actually product. Don't waste your money on this brand. It stops working right around a year. This is such a waste of money. Buy the Helios 20 mile .3 joles one for have the price of this one. It last longer and works perfectly. Don't waste your money on this one. Once it fails they won't actually send you a new one. They delay responses till it's after the 1 year warranty especially if you send them the documentation 6 days before the warranty is actually up. I knowing went before the 1 year warranty. I have no idea exactly when it went as my Mangalitsa pigs don't test the fence too often. I'm regret ever buying this one.

Purchased one of these two years ago for a critter control issue (which IT WORKS great for)... liked it so much, purchased two more for the remainder of our critters. On four strand smooth wire, these work outstanding against just about everything.

As with any fencer, make sure you have a good ground! This solar fencer has been working well for me for several years. The first one I bought I was skeptical but have since purchased 2 more identical units. For remote locations these work well. Have a 2 acre pasture currently for 2 full grown angus bulls with two strands of hot and it keeps them in with the cows across the road (nobody is in heat yet so fingers crossed)
