#Wrecked 😭😭Young Enough is a devastatingly beautiful read!!
I've learned to approach every Charmaine Pauls book with equal parts excitement and trepidation. After reading all the angsty set-up in Old Enough (Part 1 of this Duet) I just knew going into book 2 that my emotions were going to get caned, stretched on a rack, doused in saltwater, then caned some more. (Rinse. Repeat.)Pauls' writing-style is simply beautiful, and her storytelling skills so top notch that even though you know she's probably going to sucker-kick you in the gut, tear your heart out, throat punch you, and leave you sobbing in a dark corner, you'll still be lining up for more abuse and totally jonesing to get your hands on her next release to get your fix. Because the juicy, angsty goodness in her books is just as addictive and satisfying as the dark, smoldering sexy times. And let me tell you, for a younger man/older woman taboo romance, Brian DELIVERS as one hell of a smokin' hot young alpha male!! The steamy scenes are seriously OFF THE CHAIN in this duet! Just when you think they can't get any hotter, they do.Filled with so many twists and turns and unexpected dark corners, this duet is an emotional, riveting read that will get your heart pumping, your blood and tears flowing, rip your feelings to shreds and piece them back together again. This is some outstanding writing and brilliant storytelling. A definite 5-star read.

Outstanding Duet.
What can I say? I'm at a loss for words...I didn't think I would or could like a Charmaine Pauls' couple better than her Loan Shark couple Valentina and Gabriel, but The Age Between Us' Jane and Brian have managed to surpass them.Loved these two flawed characters. This author is able to write the most flawed characters without making them pathetic. Jane put up with a whole lot, but due to the sublime writing, this character remained endlessly interesting. This is without a doubt the best older woman, younger man story I have read. I really think this author has ruined me when it comes to any other similiar storyline because this one had it all. I truly hated that it ended.Lots of drama, I mean a whole lot of damn good drama regarding a story that started twelve years prior and Charmaine Pauls brings it to a head.FIVE FREAKING STARS. Loved this.

amazing conclusion to this duet.
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book. This is book two in The Age Between Us set, and you MUST read book one, Old Enough, before you read this one, it is not a stand alone.I'm not gonna write a blurby bit, cos I might give something away! When it all starts to unravel for Jane, and indeed for Brian, together, and separately, its like a ball rolling down a hill. As it moves, it gets faster and faster, and for Jane and Brian, things move at great speed, one thing after another after another, til the only way is for them both to walk away. When reading this unraveling, its like Oh My God. Then its, No Freaking WAY! And SAY WHAT NOW!!!Because Pauls chucks so many, so bloody MANY things at this couple, and at us, it's a wonder they are still standing. So many twists and turns, so much that came totally out of left field, that I was totally blown away with the plot twists!I've filed it on the darker/grittier shelf, because some of the things that are thrown at Brian and Jane need that tag. But if I tell you what they are, that would give plot lines away, so if anyone wants to know, please feel free to message me, and I will tell you, but I'm not doing that here.BUT!!!It's again, first person present tense, from both Jane and Brian's point of view. And as much as I loved this book, more so than the first, I still can't get past that. And for that I'm sorry! Its very well written, though and you really do feel for both Brian and Jane when things start to go wrong. Strangely, I felt more for Brian than I did for Jane. Well I did, up to a point, and after that point?? It was Jane I felt more for!So, even though I enjoyed this one more than book one, I still can't get past the present tense .....4 stars**same worded review will appear elsewhere**

Oh! My!
Charmaine Pauls’ books are in - credible!! I can almost NOT read them because they are so beautiful and bittersweet. But, it’s their poignancy that draws me to them and I cannot resist it. This duet is as good or better than her previous works and for that reason I am compelled to read her awesome stories.

Intense and Emotional
Wow what an exciting conclusion on The Age Between Us duet. In this installment there will be many highs and lows. Brian and Jane will constantly be tested as a couple. Will these two be able to survive all that comes their way? Young Enough is dark, taboo, compelling, intense, emotional and raw. This book broke me in certain parts. Jane was put through the ringer in this one and it took a toll. Who knew a love affair between an older woman and a younger man could cause so much damage. Charmaine Pauls writing is exquisite and tugged at my heart strings. This series was absolutely wonderful and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Soul mates that defy age
I read both books and I give 5 stars for each! 19 year old guy and 42 year old woman is a stretch but I'm here for it. Me. Paul's did a great job pulling me into Brian and Jane lives. I never read a book set in South Africa before so that was nice.I know this book is fiction but there are a few characters that need a good slapping for being rude like Abby, Loretta (F her and the horse she rode on), Lindy, Francious (sp?) the ex, and that B**** Debbie.Anyway, it's a good series and worth the read.
