Saves a lot of space when filling up bags as it mulches pretty well. I did not get it to use ...
I was a bit skeptical at first when looking at this product-I thought for $46? This has to be some cheap gimmick. Well, I said "what the heck" and got it anyway, figuring it wouldn't be a huge loss if it didn't work or fell apart. Our yard is huge, and has lots of trees, and anything to help keep it cleaned up would be a blessing, as it is very difficult to do so. I used it for the first time yesterday and I must say I am quite impressed. It seems well built, and works extremely well-very powerful! I had to even figure out a technique because it kept picking up sticks and other debris, but got that figured out. Saves a lot of space when filling up bags as it mulches pretty well. I did not get it to use as a blower, though as I already have one. But the function is there and seemingly easy to switch out.The only things could be improved, and they're not a huge deal:1) The shoulder bag is cheaply made. After it's first use has 2 holes in it already. Doesn't seem to affect it's function, though.2) Get ready to get dirty! The dust it kicks up, and being as how the bag is porous, kicks out is a ton! Bag is easily connected and disconnected, though, and the large zipper makes emptying it easier. I'd consider the trash can lid attachment, but we use refuse bags and to transfer the larger amount would just be too cumbersome.3) It is a little heavy and awkward, especially when trying to get around tight areas. But overall, it saves a lot of backache and time versus having to use a rake.4) It got clogged a couple of times, even trying not to pick up too much at once. Just had to shut it off and tap the vacuum spout a couple of times and the clog came out. Only once did I have to separate the two pieces and manually pull out the clog. This might be more prevalent in my yard, as we have again TONS of trees and really haven't touched the yard since last fall.Again, none of the above are reasons not to rate it 5 stars. Great purchase!

Gem for the price
This is a hit with my husband. He loves the mobility of the vacuum tool and is impressed by the mulching fly wheel. It may not save him time, but it picks up the never ending supply of leaves around the pool which means fewer leaves in the pool to clog up the filter. A blower just pushes the leaves into the pool but the vacuum attachment converts it into a walk around vacuum with pretty good suction. It wasn't difficult to put together, but it is a bit heavy to carry for long periods of time. The power cord can be problematic because it can get tangled, caught on something or just gets in the way.The price was a good deal, less than a shop vac or outdoor vacuum. It is a bit noisy, so ear plugs are recommended. But overall he is pleased with the performance and usefulness of this blower/vacuum/mulcher. His new favorite yard tool.

It’s black & decker, you get what you pay for…
Exactly what you’ve come to expect from black & decker. Great price, gets the job done. The mulching fiction only works on leaves that have literally fallen from the trees & bushes. Basically it can mulch two baby leaves that are alive, nothing over that.Great blower. So-so vacuum, Crap-tactular mulch-er.It’s black & decker, GE engineering & technology from the 1960s!

BLACK+DECKER 3-in-1 Electric Leaf Blower, Leaf Vacuum, Mulcher, 12-Amp
Love this item, use it all of the time. I super like the vacuum mulcher, just set on the low setting and vacuum the leaves out of your gravel garden, where you cannot blow it out. Powerful unit, lasted all summer. It is corded, a bit inconvenient, but then one will never have to buy another battery. Get that 100ft cord on a wheel dispenser, and you can go far. Fyi, do not combine electrical cords on any corded devices, especially electric lawn mowers, get the long cord for it all. I will buy this again.

SMH....
I was excited when I ordered this. Hmm, what a let down. I bought this leaf blower/ vacuum for my backyard. So, the leaf blower is good but the leaf vacuum was not. I feel like there wasn't enough suction. This just didn't work out for me. Like I said though, the leaf blower part does work well.. but ..that's about it.

The leaf mulching fuction is terrible.
I bought this for the soul purpose of the leaf mulching aspect. I saw that none of the other leaf mulchers/vacuums had good reviews. I picked this one because it had good reviews with little complaints about its suction power.I've never had a leaf mulcher like this I always used a rake and then a lawn mower. That is what I will go back to using. The machine has the vacuum power of a hand held vacuum you'd use on your clothes before a big date. It can pick up maybe 10 leaves at a time, it isn't going to pick them up well from mildly tall grass. It will clog repeatedly. I brought it to a pile of dry oak leaves about 1 foot high over a 5x5ft area and I would still be their days later if I attempted to finish.I keep the mulch leaves around my fruit trees and it really doesn't do a good job mulching them.I tried using it on side walks, lawn, leaf piles, in my pool area, etc to see if there was a niche for the tool. I can't find it. Anything it can do a rake, lawnmower, or cheap vacuum can do far better. If this is good I hate to see what the bad ones look like. Word to the wise, if you rack your leaves up then mow them you'll reduce their size 3-4 times as much as this does in 1/5th the time (including the time to rack). Sure you'll need to sharpen the mowers blades more often but you can't really sharpen this things mulcher so it will need to be replaced at higher costs faster.:( I really wanted a better way to get leaf mulch as I am an avid gardener and the other type I see online looks even harder to use.
