My favorite mylars
I am on a farm and preserve alot of my own food to eat healthier and know what's in my food. Also, if you live out of town it's just natural to stay stocked up on things so you don't run out. These are my favorite ones so far. They are nice and thick so don't rip, tear, or stretch out. The ziplocks are nice and strong so no worries coming loose. I love the extra they leave for sealing above the ziplocks at the top. If I only seal a little at a time they can be resealed 2 or 3 times. The stand up feature is huge for me as I"m usually doing everything by myself without an extra hand. I store heavy things like flour, sugar, salt and cornmeal in them so those bags are pretty heavy and they hold up great. I accidentally got some that fill from the bottom and were already sealed at the top and they were no comparison to these. I've ordered their sets of mixed sizes and those are just as good, but I tend to use gallons more than anything. The labels on these are good as well although I tend to just write on the bags with a Sharpie.

Very sturdy and seals easily
These work great if you want to store items like rice, beans, grains, or other items for long term shelf life. I use my food saver sealing capability on these and it works great. I've had to open some up after storing food in them and it really does a great job keeping the food fresh. I'd definitely buy these again if I need to store more food items.

Nice Bags
These bags are very sturdy, I filled mine with bulk flour. I do a lot of baking for home use, and buy flour in bulk fir savings on premium flour. To make it easier, I just upward the bag gusset with my hand (1 gallon size, holds about 5#) sit it in a large stock pot and used a scoop to scoop it out of the 100# bag into the Mylar bag. Toss in an oxygen absorber or two, mash as much air out as possible and press the seal, then I resealed over that with the heat seal on my vacuum sealer. I have flour to last for a while without running to the store every few days. Once those supplies get low will do it again!

Great bags for our freeze dried food!
My husband and I were putting away our freezes dried apples with caramel and he said that these were the best Mylar bags he had used! We like the way they stand up, the zip closure and the thickness of the bags. He said to me, “You made a great choice with these bags, let’s make sure we only get these from now on!” 😊

My husband and I have been freeze drying foods. These mylar bags were just what we were looking for. They hold 1 gallon of freeze dried food. I would buy them again.
