Great Garbage!
Garbage is sleek-looking and pleasing to the eye. The regular garbage side is slightly bigger which is great for a family friendly garbage. Highly recommend

Really nice and simple dual trash bin!
So far no problems with the dual trash bin. It’s really nice to have the lock feature to keep the lid up, and a handle on the recycling bin. I also like the holes on the top of the bins to make it easier to tighten the bag to the bin if it’s too loose. The foot pedal feels sturdy and the lid doesn’t slam shut. The only gripe I could possibly have is that the recycling bin is fairly small, but to keep the dual bin at the perfect size, I guess you have to compromise a bit. It fits perfectly in the spot I wanted it for in my kitchen and isn’t too big and bulky. Cleans very easily, but shows prints and dust quickly. Seems like it might be easy to dent if hit by something hard, but I haven’t had that problem yet. Overall, it’s a really great product and I’m so glad I bought it!

Great can - until lid broke after 22 months
First, the good points: Capacity is great (15.6 gal). Holds trash and recycling for our family of 3 for a couple of days. Does a pretty good job of containing odors. Finish is beautiful; barely a scratch or a smudge on it after daily use for 22 months (and we cook a lot). Now, the bad news: the lid completely failed yesterday when the plastic piece on which the hinges mount cracked horizontally from end to end. Photo included. Now, when I step on the pedal, the rear of the lid heaves up by about half an inch, but the front edge doesn’t move. For what we paid (about $90 in Aug 2022, if memory serves), I expected a much longer life span. I recommend being a bit gentle with the foot pedal. Center your foot on the pedal before you step; don’t press on it from the side. Also, about the lock: it works, but not well. At first, it locked right, but over the last 6 months, it has started to slowly slide down while the switch is in locked position, or the switch will release when we don’t want it to. Mildly annoying.I just reordered this can because I can’t find another with the same capacity that has dual compartments for trash and recycling. The price has doubled, but I think it’s still worth it. However, if the replacement doesn’t last about 5 years, we won’t be buying a third one.

*Edited* READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BUYING!!!
*Edited 7/13/22* After only a couple of months of perfection, I laid something on top of the lid for a split second and found out that this is not really stainless steel - It is given a stainless steel finish! Also, apparently it scratches off super easily because I didn't put anything metal or sharp on the lid. So, I guess this is a BUYER BEWARE! I would stay away from purchasing this product if you have a lot of clumsy humans or little humans around the house. I'd imagine the sides and front could get scratched up pretty easily. (End edit)TL;DR - This dual trash and recycling can is awesome and you should buy it. It holds trash AND recycling. Oh, and it really IS fingerprint-proof!!!It took me quite a while to narrow down my choices when it came to dual trash/recycling cans, and none of them were cheap. I found a few that weren't "holy crap! Is it REALLY THAT MUCH?!" priced, but then the reviews were back and forth, so I couldn't justify the risk of spending two-thirds the cost of the "better" options. And finally...I decided on this one. Boy, am I glad I did! In my tiny 190-square-foot apartment with a kitchenette, there isn't any counter space to push a trash can up against, or a corner to hide it behind, or anywhere else that one may typically place a trash can. Instead, I have it out in the open, backed up against the baker's rack that I purchased to hold my microwave, air fryer, Keurig, etc. Plus, I needed a recycling can! I mean, come on... I don't have any extra space in this place, let alone space for two 13-gallon trash cans. Heck, I don't even have *a* drawer in my kitchenette. You read that right. Not even one single drawer. I had to get crafty and used my ingenuity to super glue strong magnets to the back of my awesome cutlery sorter and put it on the side of my fridge. Go ahead, steal my idea. I'll allow it.So, yes. This dual trash/recycling can has been absolutely perfect for someone such as myself. While it isn't exactly an item with an extraordinarily small footprint or anything, it offers the option of creating a smaller footprint for two items in one while being attractive at the same time. They aren't lying when they say that it does not allow fingerprints either. As soon as I took it out of the box, I smooshed my entire clammy hand onto the lid. I removed my hand and stared at the spot, waiting to see an entire handprint staring back at me just out of spitefulness. But it didn't happen. There was nothing left behind for me to have to swipe clean. There was nothing there at all! It was a miracle!! An advertisement finally came true! Since then, I have touched the can about a hundred times and nary a print behind remained. In addition to that wonderous detail, I have spilled loads of water onto the lid and it wipes clean with a dish towel every time. I would imagine that this trash can would be practically perfect in every way in a household with children; however, my household consists only of myself and my fur children. The one review about this can that stuck out for me while shopping was the size of the trash and recycling cans themselves, and how the bags fit/seemed to be wasteful. For only myself, the size of the cans is perfect. I do not put a bag in the recycling can (and neither should you!), so this "issue" is moot with recyclables. The trash can, however, does hold quite a bit of trash if you are proactive about what you put into the can in relation to when you take it outside to the bin. I also compact the trash as I put it into the can, which creates additional space throughout the lifetime of the current bag being used. Once it is time to remove the bag, I have made sure to coordinate it with also emptying the trash can in my bathroom, cleaning my fridge, etc. I believe that one must put forth effort to find reasons to complain about things, and thus far at least, that is exactly what I have found to be true regarding the reviews about the "wastefulness" of trash bags with this can.Is this dual trash and recycling can worth spending $140? As someone who does not even enjoy spending $140 on things they wholeheartedly enjoy, yes it is. It is absolutely worth it.

It's a winner...
Didn't really envision writing a review on a trash can...but, yet, here we are.The trash can has plenty of space for my family of 3. The can also came fully assembled, just take it out of the box and go.For a trash can it is rather stylish and blends right in with our black stainless appliances. It is super easy to empty. I think it's partly the shape of the compartments. My son likes to smash stuff into it but have no problems getting the full bags of trash out.The trash can seems rather solid. I've had it for several months and it's no worse for wear. Simply wipe it off from time to time with a warm dish towel and it's g2g.Plus, my wife really digs it, so...While expensive, I guess it's just about how strongly you feel about having a sturdy, functional and somewhat stylish trash and recycling combo can. I was tired of jacking with our last can, and getting the packed full bags out was a pain in the a. So, in the end the price and function was worthwhile...Would definitely recommend.
