I was forced to find something to make sure my dog did not get loose while we wait for our gates to be re-installed since we rebuilt our house. I was trying to use leashes and that was definitely not working out. I saw this on Amazon and decided to try it because it would prevent tangles and over twisting of the leashes. This product screwed into the ground easily and does NOT pull out until I take it out. The cable is strong and does great in the rainy and sunny weather of Hawaii. This is a great product and is a quality item, I highly recommend it.

We would leave our dog outside on this leash in the back of our apartment since we didn't have a fenced backyard. He loved to lounge and run around freely outside with our screen door. It is very sturdy if inserted in the right type of compact dirt. Our apartment complex ran it over multiple times with their lawn mower and it still worked, it was bent but we didn't have to remove it from the ground. My only complaint is that the metal on the clip for the dog collar rusted a little but it was still functional. We left it outside in various stages of Floridian weather and it still worked!

It's a good product

Great for giving my dog room to run without an expensive fence. Dog is a chewer but it takes him a couple of months to get through the metal cording under the plastic.

I feel dog pulling on chain can definitely loosen and work it’s way out of Sandy soil. I don’t feel it’s safe for my area in Florida. Maybe ok for a picnic or something where the dog will be monitored and I have small breed dogs

The product is very sturdy and was simple to install. My dogs will never be able to chew thru it. I bought two (not from the same vendor because it only offered one color) because I have two dogs and I have both clipped to the one base and they do get tangled up somewhat at the base. Other than that, it’s great.
