OluKai Hiapo Men's Beach Sandals, Full-Grain Leather Flip-Flop Slides, Compression Molded Footbed & Comfort Fit, Enhanced Grip Soles

This is my third pair of Olukais. Love them. They last a long time with care and I wear them every day. Comfortable, and classy if you live in a tropical zone like I do where men wear such things to restaurants. Expensive but worth it.

These sandals are so well made it's crazy. Best I have ever worn. Ordered 13 and mostly I wear a 12. The 13s fit perfectly!

Lived the design on the top. Great! And comfortable.

Some time ago I bought a thong slipper in my size from a well known outdoor brand. As I had bought several shoes in the brand I was surprised how tight they fit and it took some days even weeks to break in. The thong did also eventually come out so maybe it strained it getting to my size. This Olukai fit me perfect right away and so far is all I was looking forward to in terms of comfort and workmanship as well. As a bonus they are pretty light too.

Men’s 13 is the right fit (it’s what I normally wear). First couple days were uncomfortable but would break in perfectly headed in to week 2. Most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned.

So let's get right to the crux of this flip flop. The price.Is it worth it?That's really up to you, the specifics of your body & what you want out of them.FYI, this is a 1 year review & I wear these EVERY day for at least several hours.Sometimes all day but not all day every day.*apologies for how dirty they are in the photos*The Good:• Very comfortable to me & my size 12/13 wide feet• 100% leather touches your skin, it feels great... to me• Supportive enough but not overly so. This is very important to me as I wear flip-flops to allow my feet to move freely as compared to boots or shoes• Very Durable for what I use & wanted them for. Which is mostly as: house shoes, walking around town, shopping, beaches, & light trails - very light; minimal elevation changes & well kept. At 1 year of everyday use you can see that there is very little wear on the leather or the treads• Super Stylish - love the way these look! I mean just look at the details in the leather, the stitching, even the treads. Just beautifulThe Bad:• Expensive!!! The most expensive flip-flops I own BY FAR.That said, I certainly have/ have had sandals that are right up there & they haven't lasted & weren't nearly as comfy• Inconsistent / Quality Control Issues: ▪︎This is my 2nd set of these. To be fair, maybe they just run big as my nominal size is 12.5 wide so I normally go for 13s when companies don't offer 12.5s but the 13s of these were HUGE. Didn't fit at all. Again, this may not be a fault of the company or the flip-flop ▪︎ Inconsistency between each flip-flop. As you can see in the pictures. My left flip-flop has much more pronounced/deeper etching in the leather, which I prefer for visual & functional (more on that later) reasons• NOT for water use - going back to those etchings in the leather. The right flip-flop has no grip at all on your foot while it's wet. Very slippery. Even the deeper etched left flip-flop has very poor foot traction when wet. Also, I'd strongly warn against using these for water anyway because you risk damaging the leather unless you're very careful about not soaking them too long, drying them, & then treating the leather. Actually the only damage/ wear these have is from water damage. The right flip-flop's leather has cracked right behind the ball of my foot but it's still very serviceable.Conclusion:These are a very well made, beautiful, comfortable & durable flip-flop depending on your intended use for them.These are best suited for: walking around your house, on well maintained terrain, & for strolling the sands on the beaches but you should kick them off before getting to the waterline.These things are EXPENSIVE & they aren't made for hard work or tough terrain so keep that in mind.I'll try to update if anything changes or at the 2yr mark. Das erste Paar OluKai Hiapo habe ich vor vier Jahren bestellt. Damals erschien mir der Preis sehr hoch, doch die Bilder versprachen gute Verarbeitung, rundum Leder und sie sahen für meinen Geschmack einfach chic aus - und hoben sich damit deutlich von Konkurrenzprodukten ab.Nach all diesen Jahren bin ich immer noch sehr begeistert und kann sagen: Einer der besten Käufe meines Lebens!Getragen habe ich die Sandalen jeden Sommer, wann immer die Sonne schien - allerdings: Selten auf der Straße.Dennoch: Die Sohle ist in keinster Weise abgenutzt. Das Leder ist bestenfalls marginal im Frontbereich angeraut. Der Zehentrenner ist immer noch stabil, aber durch das weiche Leder hat er nicht einmal am Anfang gescheuert.Inzwischen ist viel Zeit vergangen im Leben einer Sandale... und das erste Paar erfüllt immer noch wunderbar seinen Zweck. Allerdings kennt der ein oder andere vielleicht das Gefühl wenn man ein wunderbares Produkt besitzt: Man fragt sich... was kommt danach? Eh also ein Typwechsel erfolgt wollte ich unbedingt ein Ersatzpaar haben für den Tag, wenn die erste Version der Sandale nicht mehr kann...Und ich hatte Glück. Exakte Größe, exakte Verarbeitung, exakter Typ. Perfekt!

Me gusta su diseño es el 4to par que compro. El único detalle es que se me sigue haciendo alto el precio.
