Have used this extra size filter for years & appriciate how well they work
I like the fact that the engine has an additional quart of oil to lube the engine.

Outstanding
Large filter almost the size of my drive shaft, high quality, extremely well built, and a 5micro filtration. Excellent for high mileage diesel engine.

Fits as should
It is a much larger filter than factory size but fits like a glove, Don’t forget to add a little extra oil because of the size difference!

Seems to work
Had my dealership put this on for me at last oil change they gave me a little bit of a fuss, but they did it. Only thing is you need tightening wrench with rubber strap? This thing is very round big most tight tools will not get around this.

O-ring Failed Could have destroyed my engine.
3207 miles ago I changed my oil. I drove less than 2 miles, pulled in to a business and got out. I noticed oil leaking out all over the concrete parking lot. It was coming from the filter. I checked to see if the filter was loose, it was not. I got another 2.5 gallons of oil and my filter wrench, tightened the filter more filled it with oil. I started it drove into the rock parking lot turned it off. Oil spewing everywhere. purchased another 2.5 gallons of oil Fram filter and 3 bags of oil dry. It cost me $140 in oil $10 filter and $60 in oil dry. My oil was only half used. So, I figure your faulty filter cost me about $250, Thats not including all the cleanup I had. Since I have installed well over a 1000 oil filters and never had a problem. Yes, cleaned the block oiled the Oring and proper torque. I believe it's your Oring that failed. Plus, the warming sign came on for low oil pressure. I hope it didn't hurt my engine.

BEST inline Duramax OIL FILTER evah..!!
Purchased Mar 20242007 GMC Sierra 2500HD LBZ Duramax SLTI already use a By-Pass Filter system (FS-250 from Filtration Solutions). With this PPE Filter Added I fully believe I can goa minimum of 50,000+ Kilometres before requiring an Oil Change...!!The By pass filters down to 5mUThe PPE one down to 8mUBoth great investments IMO.Truck has 492,650 Kms (~ 308,000 miles).I figure it should be good for another 300K MIles yet..!!As an aside for my D'Max Friends out there: You Should be using CASTROL Transynd 668 in your ally...it was designed for ALLISON Transmissions. Good for -61C & 100,000 miles per change out.
