Know what you are buying
Its important to understand what you are buying. 1) These are like 1/10 the price if the comparable name brand unit. 2) The quality was very good for that price. 3) If you are using it full time for your work or business, NO; come on. You need the top quality name brand. 4) I DO use it for hi tech work at my business, but only occasionally - so its perfect for me, or like for home use. This particular one comes with a Chuck, so this one is good for >Smaller Holes<. Complaints about the chuck are not valid. The Chuck was fine - a top quality Chuck costs as much as this entire package. If you need that, then pay the money and buy one.If you want to drill the large holes in heavier steel - get the package that comes with the Annular Core Bit Cutters. And not with a Chuck. That is what you need for large holes / heavy steel task. Its kind of almost not possible to drill 1/2 or larger holes in any heavy material with regular drill bits - use the special core cutters. The units are not used. They have residue of heavy grease used for packaging metal parts for crating and ocean shipping. They probably came in bulk containers from China and got repackaged. The paint is typical low gloss heavy machine paint they use in China for machine tools and the like. Its not used. Its not high-gloss fancy. As typical with these China units; documentation? forget it, its trash. Item description on Amazon - same, its non-sense. They seem to all copy the same poor description. It does not tell you the Arbor, Chuck, key sizes nothing like that. Its buyer beware - study it, make sure its what you want. I have no Idea why they can not find a good English speaker to document their products and ads. It would seem to be a minimal expense.

Does what is expected, magnet is strong, but there is one glowing issue....
I bought this to drill 36, half inch holes in 4x4x 1/4" , vertical, square tubes. It holds to the tube well, and drills with pressure just fine. My advice to any new purchaser would be to open up the panel with the 4 screws on the opposite side from the switches. Take a picture of the wiring in case you need it later. Also I would, anyway you deem fit, secure the power cord to the tool. Walking around with the tool, plugged in, the power wire pulled out of the unit. It took me about 30minutes to feel comfortable rewiring the cord and plugging it in. There is nothing holding the power cord to the tool. For this reason alone, please use the supplied or better strap / rope to keep the unit from falling too far should it lose power. That said, it drilled all the holes much easier than holding a hand drill. It also did not have any clearance issues like a lot of the other units once you install a regular chuck (the drill bit did not extend past the base).

Very poor quality chuck and key
I bought the drill in Sept 2021 to do one job with a series of 160 holes. The chuck and chuck key are EXTREMELY low quality. The chuck will not hold a drill securely. The key failed very quickly. The chuck has also frequently fallen off the spindle.I ordered a replacement chuck from another supplier on Amazon based on the information provided with the drill. The manual stated the chuck was a Jacobs #2. It is not. I returned the chuck.I would still like to buy a quality chuck and key from the manufacturer if available. If the manufacturer reads these reviews, maybe they will respond and let me know how to make such a purchase. If I don't hear from them, the drill will likely end up in the trash.
