I purchased this after reading all the reviews, and was expecting it to be wobbly with a harp (holds the shade) that would be too small that I would need to replace, and that the packaging would be everywhere after opening. I just couldn't find anything else I liked for under $800 so I still gave it a try. I had none of those experiences! This lamp is great! The harp and shade are well-sized, keeping the proportions just right - and the harp is black (really elevates the look of the lamp $$$) AND has a substantial (nice and heavy) metal finial above the shade! The packaging is styrofoam pieces (not unusual), but I was surprised at how well it was packaged to prevent damage and it did not get all over my house as other reviewers complained about? The harp/socket were super easy to connect to the lamp body and is very secure - does not spin at all and is level. The top of the harp allows for adjustment to level the shade, too, (mine didn't need any adjustment) and the finial tightens to hold the shade at whatever angle you'd like it. The shade looks high quality - the edges are finished tightly and goes very well with the lamp. The shade is a burlap material (refined french country look) , but fits surprisingly well into my transitional style. I tried the lamp with a cream silk shade, but went back to the burlap! When the lamp is on, the burlap is pretty much unnoticeable - so it worked out for me to keep it in the end. The only thing I didn't like was the cheesy, painted-on antiquing. Another reviewer said they were able to wipe it off - so I tried that, too! After the paint was wet from a cloth, it wiped away pretty easily. Looks MUCH better without the painted-on "aging". I wish it were a little bigger, but it is definitely a full-sized lamp, pretty standard. Overall, this lamp looks as good as a similar one I have that cost nearly $1,000 (without a shade!). For this price, it can't be touched! and I can afford to keep it in the family (aka rough-housing) room where I have to keep replacing lamps! Definitely buy this if you are thinking about it! If the style works - it will surely elevate the look of your space! I am surprised at how impressed I was, especially with the price point - and have received MANY compliments! Hope this helps!

These lamps are beautiful And big. Good quality I bought two last week at $99 and saw they are on prime deals today $84 which makes me sad😟

My room is farmhouse style filled with antique furniture that are family pieces. These are a perfect addition, and I’ve gotten numerous compliments on them. They are heavy and definitely won’t be easily knocked over. I especially love the 3-way switch and how the shade color gives a nice, warm light.

Really love the sturdy Modern Farmhouse Look. Rustic elegance was the look I was trying to achieve.

The lamp is very pretty but it is so much larger than we expected! Definitely had no where to put it with the size this big. But definitely very pretty!

These lamps were in a local furniture store near me for over $100 each. I was worried they would arrive damaged, but they are packaged superbly! Awesome value and quality for the price! I ordered 2 for our bedside tables. LOVE them!

The shade is perfect for the style and scale of the lamp, well made, came assembled. Beautifully )if unenvironmentally packed. The shaft holding top assembly needs to be screwed in tightly. I do not think it will get wobbly, as another purchaser said, but if so clear packing tape can keep it from slipping.

Love it!Ok, the “antiquing” marks are really awful, but wipe clean with a magic eraser. They are just brown smudges put in after the glaze, so don’t worry when you first see it. Easily fixed.It’s a great looking lamp, bigger than I realized. Tri-light switch.The only negative thing is the packaging. I’d never complain about this, but days later km still finding styrofoam everywhere! The packaging is horrendous, so have a vacuum on hand the minute you open the box!
